One of the things that really hit me this past week was the fact that we are meant to make a difference. It is hard to believe that we are not just someone that lives a little here and a little there. No, we are called to make a difference in the world around us.
It was one Wednesday night that I really learned that I could make a difference. Even if I didn't have the money to go to a dozen more concerts and I didn't have money to sponsor a child I have the power to make a difference. How? Well that is easy, I have the ability to pray. That is something that I think is something we totally overlook as Christians. We think that we have to be able to pay in order to take care of a child, but we don't. All it takes is being able to pray and we all are capable of doing just that.
Now don't get me wrong I am not saying that there is not a need for people to step up and financially support these different ministries because there is. It is just that there are a lot of us out there who cannot financially help a child out so here we are left with the idea that we can't help when we really can. All we have to do is dedicate some time to praying.
I just wanted to share with those who take the time to read this, the idea that there is more than one way to support a ministry. So the next time you are standing in line and they ask if you want to sponsor a child and you don't have money to do so, take the time to lift up these kids in prayer.
