The concert was amazing! Our family was so touched that Mac brought up our situation in losing our son, and that we were encouraged by the song Children of God. Although we cried throughout the song, we were comforted knowing that Sammy (our son) was listening while in the presence of his Lord and Savior! We truly felt the joy of the Lord throughout the concert. Thank you for a great evening! - The Hines Family
Today had an EARLY start. We had a 4:30am lobby call in Houston so that we could fly to VA to do this show. But Glory at the Gardens is always a great show to play. This is like the 4th time or so that the band has done this show and the crowds are always great. We got to the park and loaded in. Most of the band took naps on the bus so they would be well rested to bring the rock tonight. After load in and soundcheck, Mac, Tai, & I went and rode the Griffin. This ride is awesome and starts out with a suspenseful 90 degree drop. It is one of the smoothest rides I have ever been on too.
After that we had dinner and then the Wired meet & greet and then the show. As in the years past, the crowd was full of energy and the guys were having a lot of fun on stage. You can always tell when Mac is having fun because he just starts talking and you can't get him to stop. He brought several great messages as well as some plain ol' fun banter with the other guys on stage and the audience. This was a really fun show for all, no matter how tired anyone was from travel or just a long day in the park.
