Make Your Move Tour
MAR 22 2012
Today was the first show out for Run 2 of the 3rd leg of the Make Your Move tour. If that sounds like a lot of numbers, it's because I'm been working on my business statistics homework for my class at GCU. On that note, I'm proud to say that Mark and I are both officially seniors now (in school, not life) and are on the final year of work to our respective degrees. But, back to the show. These days can be long when you mix in travel and the concert. We arrived in Kansas City where all the artists sat down together for a lunch before driving to Topeka. There is really a great atmosphere of camaraderie and mutual respect. Also, we've all decided that Matt Maher has to be one of the most intelligent artists we've ever toured with.
It was a challenging day on the crew front. Our old friend "Wheels" was filling in as guitar/drum tech because Brian was away on a top secret mission. Unfortunately, our lighting guru was very sick and couldn't come out to the show. He was definitely missed during the concert.
The auditorium was beautiful, but lent itself to a mellower atmosphere. However, the energy in the room grew and grew. My highlights were the acoustic version of King of Glory and the unique message before Revelation.
