Night 2 of an awesome Third Day weekend. Worked merch (if you call that work - thanks Danielle!), roamed around the grounds and boardwalk, came back and listened to lots of great bands -- even listened to a couple Red songs -- too bad we were standing in front of the speakers at that point ;). Third Day was incredible, as always. Actually was nice to see the show from a different point of view, further away, which let me get a good look at the entire stage as the action happened. You guys were full of energy and fantastic music for a second night in a row, and I was blessed to be there. Thank you, thank you, again from the bottom of my heart.
I wasn't sure if today's concert was called Myrtle Beach Beach Fest or Just Myrtle Beach Fest, but either way it was a Fest on the beach of Myrtle. We woke up to the unusual sound and site of hobo clowns smoking cigarretes while working on the engines of their hot rods. You can't make that stuff up. It was Bike week. So, between the sound of a thousand Harleys and a full-on OMAR shriners parade, sleeping in was not going to be an option. The festival drew a great crowd, and we played a support role. The show was technically a co-headline, but it was our first time not to close a festival in a while. We didn't mind as Toby is a hard act to follow. We gave a tight, but pretty potent set, and enjoyed Toby Mac's set as fellow music lovers.
