This concert was awesome!
It was a birthday gift to me from my aubt and cousins. I loved every bit of it!
The Rock And Worship Roadshow
The music faded on our last song, indicating that our set was over. I threw out a few guitar picks in triumph, then walked down the side stage steps like I always do. I pulled out my in ear monitors.
That's when it all went wrong.
Something felt off. It seemed as if one of my in-ears had unattached from its cable and flown off. Feeling the cable confirmed my suspicion. I asked my tech for a flashlight so I could look for it. Then I took…one…step…back.
I heard a distinctive crunching sound. My in-ear was destroyed.
Despite that little disaster, today was a great day. We don't get to play Las Vegas very often, so we try to soak it up the best we can when we're here.
Most of the band enjoyed a great meal at a local restaurant. One of my best childhood friends came out to the show and I got to hang out and catch up.
The show tonight was stellar. The crowd was great, and were obviously excited to have us in Las Vegas. On many levels, including the technical side and the performance of the band, this was one of the best nights of this tour. Andy Mineo joined us for "I Got a Feeling" again, and I think we've finally got that dialed in.
I love that we're getting to the end of the tour but we're still working hard and trying to make it better.
Hopefully we can go out with a bang tomorrow in Salt Lake City!
