The Rock And Worship Roadshow
Today ended up being a great end to a great second run of shows. I'll be honest - I don't think we had ever played Las Cruces, so I wasn't sure what to expect. But it was pretty amazing.
Our show tonight happened at the arena on the beautiful campus of New Mexico State University. Mountains towered in the distance over a desert landscape. It really looks like something out of a movie - I think David might have even gotten some good pictures of it.
The highlight of the day, by far, was the church service we had this afternoon. The worship was lead by Jamie Grace and her sister Morgan, and they flat out brought it. Then Jamie delivered a powerful sermon on trusting God regardless of the circumstances. It ended up being a really special time.
The show tonight was absolutely incredible. It wasn't the biggest crowd of the tour, but it was definitely the LOUDEST. They were with us from the downbeat of the first song, and seemed to track with us from start to finish. They rocked on the rock songs, and worshipped on the worship songs. I wish I had a video of this crowd so I could play it for people in other towns and say "This is how it's done!"
So it was a great way to finish this weekend. We fly home tomorrow, and have a few days off before heading to Texas later this week. Catch y'all in a couple of days!
