You guys did it yet again! Why does this surprise me?! :) The Busch Gardens, Myrtle Beach, and Kings Island shows were my first festival shows. Wasn't sure if I'd like them as well as other venues. While Gen Admission is no one's favorite (happily, KI wasn't GA), I definitely enjoyed the energy you guys brought to these shows - even in the heat of the day. It's always such a pleasure and joy to see you perform. My heavy heart is lightened and my soul is lifted, every single time. And thank you so much for indulging our wish for a group pic!! Thank you so much for your music, your kindness, and your ministry. See you in Alaska!
Today was a hot one! But that did not stop it from being a good day. We loaded in at 8:00am and were done and out of the way by around 10:00. That gave us quite a bit of time to kill. So, some of the guys from Third Day and NEEDTOBREATHE went to a movie. Then the rest of the day was really just a bunch of fellowship. With NEEDTOBREATHE and Family Force 5 both on the bill tonight, the show was a lot of fun and really high energy. The guys in all three of those bands have long standing friendships and great levels of respect for each other. It was really great to see the guys from each band watch the others all night. I think this really lead to the energy level and enthusiasm of the night.
The crowd was amazing too. It always amazes me how after a day in these theme parks in the heat they can still have so much left in them. Third Day had a really good set and you could really tell everyone on stage was feeling it and having a lot of fun. By the end of the show, Mac was really tired and didn't know if he had enough in him to do both songs planned for the encore. But, with a little help from Tai and the crowd, he pushed through it. AND God of Wonders featured a guest appearance from Solomon "Soul Glow Activatur" of Family Force 5.
