The Miracle Tour
Very eventful day in Johnstown, PA. Most of the guys went out for the obligatory weekend Lobsterfest excursion. I hung back at the venue for a little jog. We got a little excite about the possibility of adding a snippet of When the Levee Breaks as a little Led Zep tip of the hat at the end of The Victory. We worked it up in soundcheck and were feeling really great about it. Sometimes just having one little fresh moment can really liven up the show for us. Tonight, we were able to welcome Lacy Srum, formerly of Flyleaf, to the stage. Lacey sang on Born Again and Run to You on the Revelation album. We've never been able to sing the songs live with her though. Tonight, she made the trip over, and it was really cool to get to hang with her, her husband, and her son Jack. It reminded me of how much more difficult in can be for females than males in the music business where having a family often involves really tough choices. It makes me appreciate my wife who does such a great job single parenting when I'm on the road to allow me to do this. There was a great crowd tonight, and the show went really well. We heard great compliments about the sound from some of our most diehard fans.
