What a great day/evening this was! We've seen Third Day so many times now I can't count. We've seen them many times doing thier own shows, and a few times what I call "special" shows. Some special shows were the time they headlined Winterjam, the MAD tour, the "matinee" show in San Antonio, and this one at Minute Maid. This indeed was special. To see Mac throw out the first pitch was awesome. The stage was much smaller than their normal set-up with all the backdrops and lights. But Third Day does not need that to put on a great show. The back drop of Minute Maid park, the skyline of Houston, and the setting sun provided a unique environment that we were very blessed to be part of. I thought the band handeled the "sound check" like the pure professionals they are. After the first song, Mac just simply asked the crowd what needed tweeked: from guitar, to bass, to drums, to keyboard, to vocals. And, by the second song, the sound was amazing, especially considering the large venue. Great job by Third Day and all the technicians/stage hands! Thank you so much Third Day for making the effort of all the flying to give us fans a great show. Thanks to the Astros and Minute Maid park for hosting Faith and Family Night. I truly believe God used this for His Glory and for planting seeds. About 35,000 people were at the game and the majority stayed for the show. Thanks Third Day for being instruments in God's hands to not only witness to so many, but in helping me and my family keep our own faith strong. May God bless ya'lls summer and upcoming album!
