Nice pics. Did Mac cut his hair?? :( Every time I see Tai's cowboy hat, I get that Dixie Chicks song stuck in my head. . .Looks like it was a great show!
Well, in general, it's not a great idea to only do 1 show in the NW of the states coming from the Southeast. There is a whole lot of trouble for a very small amount of time on the ground.
That was certainly the case today. We departed Atlanta at an 8:30 AM flight that required about a 5:30 AM wake up call. By the time we traveled all day, and hit the stage, it had already been a long day. 9PM west coast meant that we had already been up for 18 hours. We all did our best to forget about the fatigue and enjoy the beautiful Oregon weather and scenery. The locals were a bit restless with 92 degree temperatures. But, it was still quite a bit cooler than what we've been used to in the ATL. It was nice to hook up with our friend Peter Furler for a bit. He has now launched a solo career. However, he is doing quite a few of the Newsboys songs we remember from extensive touring with him in the late 90s. We enjoyed the very attentive crowd, and got a bit of shuteye before a 5:00 Am lobby call to fly home. I'm writing this journal from 30,000 feet thanks to some complimentary wifi. We're honing in on our next tour, and look forward to seeing you guys on the road.
