HI THIRD DAY
I HAVE I HAVE SOME FAN ART
Make A Difference Tour
Well, today we played for the Hearts on Fire Youth Conference. All in all, it was a pretty easy travel day for the band. We got on the bus at midnight, played two sets in the AM, got back on the bus and drove home. We were home by 5 PM on Saturday. So, we only had to spend one night away from home.
Now, I just glanced over it above, but overall I must say that Rock and Roll and AM performances are not normally complimentary. Okay, maybe if a show went really late and you were playing after midnight, that would be fine. But, to wake up at 7:30 AM and play a set at 8:30 AM, it's a bit strange.
The youth conference had so many people, that they had to turn the room. We would play a set, the audience swapped out and then we played again. The crowd had noticeably woken up for the second set.
It felt great to play for so many younger fans, jr. and senior high. I hope we made some new fans. They had brought in a really great production for the room, but it is not known for being a great sounding room as it's really just a big concrete box.
Anyway, it was a fun day. It was nice to play a show again on land, and the ideas are swirling for some production ideas for the new tour.
