Loved the video. (Watched it on YouTube tho since the 1x1 screen is a little taxing on these old eyes!) I love stuff like this. Keep doing what your doing and we will keep viewing what you're doing!
Make A Difference Tour
It was nice to get close to home at the end of this run. The start of this tour has meant a lot of days on the road in a short amount of time. I think nearly all of us had some family come to the show and were able ride home with them in our cars instead of the tour bus.
I had a couple of merchandise meetings today. 1. Trying to make sure we stayed stocked up on our inventory for the rest of the tour without ordering so much that we fill up our warehouse after the tour. 2. A meeting with Not For Sale to move along our Free 2 Rock initiative from which money will be donated from our merchandise production to support Not For Sale's efforts to fight human trafficking and slavery.
After that, we had tour devotions. On Sundays, we have a communion service with our Pastor Nigel James and Max Lucado serving as pastors. What a blessing. Often, touring is spiritually taxing. This tour is filling me up. Max shared about the impact this tour has already had on raising support for World Vision's efforts, and Nigel shared some stories from his work at the Come Together Compound in India.
Then, my family arrived with all their craziness. Our friends at the Whistling Pig brought BBQ just in time so I didn't have to take over catering with my brood. Good Stuff. Jason Hoard was able to join us for this show, and he always brings another layer of sonic goodness. I was back at home by Midnight to enjoy Columbus Day off with the kids.
Hello Third Day family, Web Lackey here again for some words about today’s time in Columbus, Georgia. First item of note: We put together a fun video below of some behind the scenes footage of the guys...the most notable item is that it was done on a iPhone 4 using iMovie...cool stuff. Second item of note: With only being 2 hours south of Atlanta, we had most of the families come down for the show...always such a great atmosphere to do a show in the GA. Third item of note: We had an amazing communion and devotion time with Pastor Nigel and Max Lucado. It was punctuated by an subtle but POWERFUL song from Jason Gray. We split a loaf of bread and drank some juice for communion...what a great moment. Fourth item of note: The show was great, what a home-state response to the show....so loud! The guys got to play some of the new songs off of Move and those went over well. Fifth item of note: I am personally surprised the guys were able to go on stage after my beloved San Francisco Giants beat the band’s beloved Atlanta Braves on a late inning come back. All in all.....a great day (for me a least :-)
