The show was very high energy--exactly what I needed after a long HOT day! I think I sat down once because Mac said sit down! I danced, laughed, sang, raised my hands and praised God!
This was my first Rock the Park but the fourth show I've had the privledge to attend this year. I'm never disappointed!
I was surrounded by first-time attendees. Everyone was having a great time! I guarantee it won't be their last Third Day concert!
Thanks Mac, Mark, Tai and David for another wonderful show! God Bless!
We have played Carowinds many times in the past and everyone always enjoys it. This year was no exception. There was a great lineup of some really good artist and I think everyone enjoyed catching up with old friends from other bands. The crew loaded in early in the morning and was done by about 10:30 am. So, that meant a lot of time to just sit around and wait since we didn't play until 9:15pm. This is not so unusual for summer festivals though. Some of us rode a few rides and then realized we were getting too old for that sort of thing and started feeling a little ill so we went back to the bus were we watched a lot of episodes of River Monsters.
Since we were at a theme park, several of the band guys brought their families and made it a little vacation. That meant there were A LOT of kids around backstage. The show was really good and despite having been out in the sun playing all day the crowd really brought it. The energy was great from both the band and the audience. The set was a little more high energy rock and roll. Not sure if that helped pump everyone up or what but I think a good time was had by all.
