The Rock And Worship Roadshow
For six years, Geof Barkley held down the fort for us, playing his heart out on keys and taking our background vocals to another level. Today we had the chance to catch up with Geof in his home of Bossier City, Louisiana. For the last several years he's served as music minister at a local church.
We all went and had a meal with Geof and talked about old times, then checked out a local Western outfitter. We capped it off with a visit to a local music studio - you'd be surprised at some of the legendary artists who've recorded in this area. It was great to hang with Geof and to see that he's doing well.
The show tonight was really great. The major news tonight was that we invited Andy Mineo to make a cameo appearance during "I Got a Feeling". He "stops" the song and then kicks into a mind-blowing rap before helping us finish out the tune in fine fashion. It was a total blast, and I'm sure we'll do it some more in future shows.
Beyond that, it was another solid outing that made me proud to be a part of The Roadshow. I got to watch a good portion of the show tonight The Vertical Church Band has been on this leg, and they have proven to be an amazing worship band. Kyle Sherman, Jamie Grace, and Royal Tailor also turned in great performances this evening.
A great time in Louisiana, and another great night for The Roadshow. Let's keep the party going!
