Tai, you may not have been able to set up the production like you wanted to, but you all brought it musically. There was ministry and praise and you guys seemed to be so happy to be on stage. And I was so happy to get to be there. This was not even a show I was planning to attend, I ended up with an extra ticket because someone else could not go. I am so thankful I got to attend!! I was so blessed. Can't wait to see the Portsmouth and Charlottesville shows. And I will be curious to compare those shows to this one that did not have the full production. : ) God bless Tai!
Make Your Move Tour
Today was a challenging day for the crew. In four days, they've been asked to set up in 4 very different venues; an arena, a grandstand, a theatre, and now a church. It was especially challenging because they couldn't load in till after the church services were done at 1 PM. They normally load in at 8 AM. Appraising the situation, we decided it would be a mistake to try and cram are show into the beautiful venue, where it just wasn't set up to accommodate the tour production. So, we decided to treat it like a summer spot date and really just focus on the music. The venue reminded us a lot of the church in Tucson that ended up being one of our favorite shows of the summer. The band watched football, and I went for a jog. Then, we hit the stage to a very warm, receptive audience. Knowing we didn't have all the bells and whistles forced us to focus especially hard on giving a great musical performance. I think we ended up with a great, memorable evening. The church was so welcoming to us with fantastic catering and homemade cookies. I hope we can come back sometime soon.
