No, that wasn't Peyton Manning. It was Mac Powell saying it from stage. It was fun playing Omaha before that joke got old :)
We had a great day in Omaha today. Mainly because we were able to work on some new music in our dressing room. We're kicking around some song ideas, trying to figure out what the next musical step for Third Day is going to be. I think we made some good progress today.
I'm not sure if I've mentioned this yet, but catering on this tour has been flat out unbelievable. Today they had homemade sweet potato pie that might have been the best I've ever had.
This afternoon we had a tour church service. Soulfire Revolution led us in worship and did an amazing job. Then Nigel delivered a great message about the Kingdom of God. It was a great time for everybody to be together.
The show tonight was really great. The crowd was really loud which always helps matters. We're getting to that place in the tour where we've got the basic set locked in, but we want to make it better. So we changed a couple of things. We did shortened versions of Make Your Move and River so that we could add Cry Out to Jesus. I'm not sure if that change will be permanent or not, but hey - you've got to try, right?
Well we're headed home for a few days. I'll catch up with you this Thursday when we play beautiful Madison, Wisconsin. I plan on eating a bunch of cheese that day :)
