We don't do days off often on the road. But, we had a rare one before this Edmonton show. So, the band and crew were well rested for this performance. We were playing at the Break Forth conference which gathers several thousand youth and youth workers from across Canada. On the bill were Canadian bands, Downhere and Starfield. We kind of felt like the outsiders on the stage as the only band that wasn't from Canada. Mac took care of that when he introduced Scotty as being from Moose Jaw.
The crowd was electric. From the first note, they rushed the stage, and stayed engaged all night long. Even the security guards were dancing to the music.
I saw a well made but depressing movie called the Grey today which basically leaves you with the feeling that life has no meaning. It was really good for my soul to share the evening with thousands of Canadians celebrating life, love, and Salvation with each other.
Thank you Edmonton. We're off to Calgary.
