It was an interesting day in South Bend today. We flew out of ATL bright and early. After arriving, we headed by Chic-fil-A for some grub, and then to the venue. The festival was a stage set up in a big field. This is our 3rd or 4th time at Pulse Fest. After some interviews and our Wired meet and greet, we took the stage at 3 Pm. It's a bit different playing in the daytime. It kind of feels like you're either under performing or over performing when there are no lights. The music felt great, and the crowd was great. As soon as we were done, a storm blew in. The festival immediately instructed everyone to go to their cars. Then, they cancelled the rest of the show. The Newsboys were not able to perform. After the show, we went and saw The Rise of the Apes movie which was quite good. Then, we went to get a nice meal together. We then hit the bus to head to Detroit.
When we got in the bus, we saw news footage of the stage collapse in Indy where he had been 3 days before. Our hearts are broken for the people who lost their lives and for their loved ones at the fair. It's a somber reminder how dependent we are on God for safety in every situation. Please keep the people of Indy in your prayers. Also, lift up the members of Sugarland and their team who are trying to navigate this storm.
