We had a great day in North Carolina today. The show was just absolutely packed. I know there might some among us looking for opportunities to let us know that we should be unconcerned with whether there are 20 people in the crowd or 20,000. In theory, I agree, and as the Chattanooga show proved, come show time, we will always give our all. However, it sure is nice to have a large, warm reception, knowing that we'll be able to pay our crew for their efforts, and maybe even put some supper on the table when we get home.
We've put a lot of effort into putting together our best show yet, and it sure feels good when there's a packed house to receive it. Greensboro had one of the largest crowds of the tour. They sang along throughout the night, and let us know that we were appreciated. It felt great. We through in a couple extra songs in the acoustic set including Love Song and Blackbird. Also, we put Don't Give Up Hope in the night. It's a song that I want to play in Birmingham for the benefit on Sunday. So, I'm trying to keep it sharp.
