Today began early for me. I woke up way to early in Atlanta, and puttered around the house drinking coffee, taking out the trash and walking the dog. Then, I got the kids off to school and headed by the studio to drill out a stripped out rack screw that was bothering me. I'm not OCD. I promise.
I met up with Mac and Scotty and we headed to the airport. I usually try to avoid fried temptations, but I joined the guys at a Popeye's Chicken excursion and was called "Baby", "sweetheart", "babycakes", and "darlin', all within about 7 seconds. Awesome.
The flight was long, and I was stuck in a middle seat in the back of the plane.
When we landed, all the attention moved towards David's new Craviotto drum kit. He played it on the record, and had his own kit delivered to the show. We did a quick musical soundcheck while Mac napped. I then followed Max Lucado around to see how his day goes. He is on nonstop from a tour devotion, to a pastor's dinner, back to Q&A, then the start of the show. He's doing it all for World Vision. Amazing.
I was TIRED by the time the show started. So, I focused on getting my energy up to give a good show. Then, a good meet and greet, and then to write this. Now, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
