with Skillet, Mandisa, Brandon Heath, Peter Furler, We As Human
Today was a great Sunday on the road. It was a beautiful sunny day in the Quad Cities. Yes, there was quite a bit of snow lingering on the ground, but we'll take what we can get at this point.
Nigel led the entire tour in a great church/Bible study this afternoon. Over the next few weeks leading up to Easter we're discussing key people associated with the crucifixion. Today we looked at the contributions of Joseph of Arimethea. Brandon led us in worship, and we shared communion together. It was a great time of learning and fellowship.
We took advantage of the time this afternoon to work on some new music. We've got a couple of songs to the demo stage, and spent a little time recording basic versions of them. I think we're getting to a pretty cool place with these tunes.
The show tonight was really stellar. We've played the Quad Cities area a few times over the last 3 or 4 years, and it felt like the crowd "knew" us, for lack of a better word. We shook things up just a bit by adding Your Love is Like a River back into the mix. It was a great night for us, and hopefully for the audience as well.
We have a LONG drive tonight before a couple days at home. We have quite the busy schedule over the next couple of weeks - y'all keep us in your prayers!
