I'll be honest - when the rest of the country, including our home state of Georgia, is going through a cold snap, I like seeing when our schedule has us playing sunny places like Anaheim and Phoenix. It was a beautiful day today.
Several of us went to a local Mexican joint called Carolina's. It quite possibly might be some of the best Mexican food I've ever had in my life.
One great thing about Phoenix is that it's the home of Tai and my alma mater, Grand Canyon University. They've been a sponsor of this tour, and were out in full force tonight. They even had Thunder, their mascot, out at the show. All of Third Day took part in the GCU worship leader reception. I am excited about their new Center for Worship Arts opening this fall.
Great show tonight - it's really feeling like we're dialing everything in. I, for one, am glad that I don't have to spend hours every day working on my new guitar rig. It's down to a few minutes a day. We had another great audience, and they might have sung the loudest of any crowd on the tour. God of Wonders, in particular, was amazing. At times I could hear the audience singing louder than the band.
Good times so far on The Roadshow. Can't wait to see what New Mexico holds in store tomorrow.
