Please don't take this wrong, but you know you've had a busy year when you play Sioux Falls two times. Seriously though this is a great town where we've had some great shows. It was great to be back today.
This post would not be complete if I don't mention the weather. Back home in Atlanta we had a record high temperature of 75º. Meanwhile in Sioux City the high was 0. I think the zero cancels out the 75! But the cold only helps usher in the Christmas spirit, right?
Whereas yesterday was a little more stressful with the travel and relearning Christmas songs, today was a bit more chill. (Well, we did have some bus trouble last night, but thanks to our awesome driver and crew, we made it to Sioux Falls without a hitch!) Most of us had lunch at Mama Lada's, a GREAT local enchilada restaurant. We then followed it up with a movie.
The show was unbelievable. The audience was enthusiastic, and came ready to have fun. We didn't know how to handle this show: should we do more Christmas or more rock? The answer seems to be that it doesn't matter. The crowd really seems to respond to both. Born in Bethlehem felt like a highlight tonight, as did I Need a Miracle.
