This performance is part of the Women Of Faith Conference. You must have a ticket to the conference to attend.
Today was our first ever time playing for the Women of Faith conference. We actually have several of these scheduled this fall, so today felt in a lot of ways like the beginning of a tour for us.
We began the day bright and early at home in Atlanta. We flew to Columbus then drove straight to the venue where some of us tried to catch up on sleep while others tried to get a lay of the land for the event. We did a brief meet and greet with concert attendees, then got ready for the show. We also got to meet Sheila Walsh and some of the other people running the conference. They're a great group of folks - if you ever get a chance to go I highly recommend it!
It ended up being a really great show. Yes, it's a little different playing in front of an all-female audience. Kind of like being at a Bon Jovi show :) The crowd was definitely ready to rock, so it ended up being fun for both us and the conference attendees. I can tell from today's experience that this will be a fun event to be a part of this fall.
After our set, we headed to the airport. We were back in Atlanta by 6:30 P.M. Yes, it was a little tiring getting up so early and doing so much in such a short period of time, but it was totally worth it to be back home so quick. All in a day's work!
