Third Day: An Intimate Evening of Music and Worship
Ticket prices: $25.00
With a name like Rockford, we came in with high expectations. And they were met.
Speaking of high expectations, apparently I now have some high expectations for the impending Columbus Day holiday. During the show Mac commented that this evening was just like being invited over to my house for a hang. We couldn't come up with a holiday close by, and somehow landed on Columbus Day. So tonight was a Columbus Day party.
We had a lot of fun today. The entire tour took a "field trip" to the movies this afternoon. I'm not sure, but I think that might be a first. Catering was on the money again. I'm not sure but I think Mike Ditka might have catered the show today. There were no less than three different kinds of sausage for lunch, each with an appropriate sauce. I was humming the Super Bowl shuffle the whole meal.
The show was nothing short of amazing. This was maybe the tenth "evening with" show we've done this year, and the crowd tonight was by far the best. We also tweaked the set just a little to make things flow a little more smoothly. It ended up being a really fun night.
Happy, Columbus Day, everybody.
