Well, today was the last day of the tour. It's always bittersweet because we look forward to getting home and having some time with our families, but it's always hard saying goodbye to all the new friends we've made over the last few months.
It was a pretty chill day for the most part. Some of our families are in town to begin vacations after the show. As for me, remember how I said the other day that I'm more of a Star Wars guy? Today I went with my wife and another friend of ours to Disney's Hollywood Studios to take part in their Star Wars weekend. It was AWE-some.
Today we commemorated the end of the tour with a final devotion led by Nigel. We reflected on some of the fun we've had on the tour (bowling, golf, and quite a few lame movies) as well as what God has done over the last 44 shows. Thanks to everyone who shared their stories with us - we discussed and prayed for many of your "miracles" during our time together.
The actual show tonight was pretty incredible. Many tours are legendary for their last show pranks, but we're pretty mild by comparison. That being said, I did hear rumors of Colton being carried against his will across the stage during Josh's set, and our final romp at the end of "Gone" featured a cameo appearance by, well, everybody. It was a great way to end a great season on the road.
Thanks to all who came out to see us on this tour. Thanks even more to those who have been praying for us over these last few months!
P.S. We're off for the next couple of weeks, but I might just have to do some more blogging on ye ole Third Day site. These last few weeks have been fun :)
