Doing two shows in the same town is pretty cool. We commonly get asked how long we're staying in a city, and the answer is usually given in hours. With us having the second show, we were able to pack a lot into today.
This morning we spent some time with KLOVE and Air1. Both of those networks broadcast their morning shows out of Indianapolis. We recorded content to air this Friday morning. After that we went over to Shine FM and recorded an interview. We also did an autograph signing at Shine FM. They had a local cartoonist there who drew a caricature sketch of the band. It's always hilarious to see yourself as others see you.
After the radio activities, we had lunch at a great local burger joint called Bub's. Mac and Tai then went down to the local pitch and putt to showcase their, um, golfing skills. David and myself went to Guitar Center. BTW - remember Nathan, our tech who used to do blogs for the band? We hung out with him this afternoon. Great guy. He's doing well in case you were wondering.
The show tonight was really great. Despite Mac's praising of the Wednesday show, the crowd tonight were the people who jumped at the chance to see Third Day. It was a big crowd, and very enthusiastic. We brought Colton out on God of Wonders again and it was great. Tonight we also brought Josh out on I've Always Loved You. He changed the melody a bit a la Dylan, and it was cool.
Great two nights in Indiana. Tonight we head to Wisconsin, where I hear it's cold. I guess they didn't get the memo about Spring...
