good deal on revelation

At Lifeway, I pre-bought the CD for $7.99 ($8.65 with tax) , got a charcoal-gray Revelation T-shirt and a $5 gift card. So essentially, I got a CD and T-shirt for $3.65. That doesn't make up for the exorbitant ticket prices for the upcoming Tour, but it's nice to be thrown a bone once in awhile. Heckuva deal.

That is a great deal. As far as the tour, you've got to think of it as three bands that could probably headline their own tour at a minimum of $35 a piece. I know they're higher than usual, but justifiable (imho).

Did you get that online or at the store? (lookin' for my car keys) That IS a sweet deal!

Yeah, tickets were a bit of a shocker! I never thought I'd ever pay THAT much for a concert, but it is a phenomenal lineup all in one place. My justification for buying one is that I don't have to drive far and spend my life savings on gas to fill up my car, don't have to get a hotel room, don't have to eat out anywhere if I don't want... traveling to shows in NC, SC and MD before has cost be well over $125 a show. One great show, one great seat this tour... I'm great with that. Hoping to see tix drop back to a more reasonable level after the Music Builds tour... or I'll have to settle for one great FINAL memory! I don't think I'll pay that much again.

I got it at the store. They give you the T-shirt at the same time you pay.

The problem is that we get less than an hour of Third Day. I'd rather do without the Randolph Band (and yes, I have seen videos of them and recognize their ability) and get 100 minutes of Third Day. I'd also do without Jars of Clay if it meant lower ticket prices and more 3D.

Well, for me, it's ALL great music... even RR & the Family Band (makes me wanna dance)! I probably listen to Jars even more than Third Day on a regular basis (hope that doesn't get me kicked off the boards... )... also have all of Switchfoot's cd's and the one time I saw them in concert made me want to see them again! More Third Day is always good, though. I'm looking forward to them being the ONLY headliner during the next tour, but I'm betting on some great surprises during this tour, too!

Now I have to remember where the LifeWay store is in VA Beach... Thanks for the great tip, Webo!

I don't know if there will be a couple hundred $125 tickets for Houston, where I think WEBO is from. But, there are 8,000 lawn tickets available. Third Day + Switchfoot+Jars Of Clay+ Robert Randolph for as little as $18/ $13 for a group. Just like you find a great value for the cd, there are great values for this tour.

We will be playing a full set length with a great production.

Thanks for the info, Tai. In regards to the # of $125 tix at each venue, have you seen my inquiry in the Nashville thread? Just curious. And I am really loving this tour lineup. I would love it if everyone played 1 1/2 hour sets, but that would make for a really long evening, I'm sure.

Also, was the lifeway shirt one of those one size fits all?

See... now that's the kind of surprise I'm talking about! I'm anticipating this to be one awesome production all around! When you've got THAT many creative minds together (kind of like a wagon of monkeys with some firecrackers and a box of matches), things could just EXPLODE! AND, apparently a longer 3D set than someone reported... WOW!

Tai, can you do your best Gomer (!!!) Pyle impression when you take the stage in VA Beach and say... "Sur-prahz, sur-prahz, sur-prahz!"?

Exorbinate ticket prices? It is my understanding that you got excellent seats at an excellent price, well below the $125. I always say, "You get what you pay for". From what Tai has been saying, we will be getting what we pay for at this show. I can't wait!

Houston was actually one of the few venues where the ticket prices for the front most seats were considerably less expensive. I think they were only like $55 or so.

I'm still trying to figure out the ticket distribution for Nashville? The closest tier 2 priced tickets I have seen were fourteen rows back. That is definitely more than 100 or so tix at $125.

Thanks. That's what I thought, although webo said above you get it when you pay? I won't be making a special trip or anything, but that is a cool shirt, and I probably do need a large.

I checked their website, so it might be worth going to the store if they give you the shirt there.
