It's really a great book.

Honestly, it was a giant wind in my sails personally. It prompted me to be more diligent about reading my Bible and praying every single day.

Mr. Nasser's writing is what is so great. He's passionate about God's Word and writes as if he's sharing about one of his favorite things. You can't help but feel a little excited as the reader because it's just so sincere.

Here's a quote:
"God is present and revealing himself powerfully through his Holy Scriptures. We must come to a place where we're feeding our hunger to know God with the meat of the Word and stop continuously stuffing our spiritual bellies full of events and emotional encounters."

I gave them to a bunch of kids at a camp I work with and they really, really responded positively. One of the great things about it is the author points out the studying the word and praying are for ALL of us. Not just those "called" or annointed. We are God's people and He is still speaking to us today.

GREAT book.

Have I said that already? :)

Oh yeah, I forgot we were reading this one. Since it's been awhile since last touched, I'll read again.

Loved it the 1st time. A lot of the points really made sense. Maybe it will make more sense or bring out something different the 2nd time. (usually does)

I'm behind again. I haven't finished the last one. I have no idea why not, though.

Well, I have started - but so far haven't managed to keep it up as a daily devotional

Loving the conversational style of the book and can really relate to the story of the phone number ;)

Will post more later.

I've read three chapters, but I'm not trying to read more, as we're studying it for our small group, and I don't want to get too far ahead. So far it's great. He has such a talent for writing it feels like you're just having a conversation almost. I felt that way when he spoke at Glory Revealed. It has really prompted me to notice things I had not thought of before as being God's glory revealed. I always enjoyed sitting on my parent's back porch early in the morning all by myself when I go visit them, and now I realize that's because God was revealing Himself to me very quietly and peacefully.

I gave this book and its accompanying CD to my Pastor. He said he was touched and it really struck his Heart. His wife has been playing the CD continuously. It was nice to give back to my Pastor who has given me so much.

I look forward to reading this with y'all.;)
