The opening week of Wired has been a rollercoaster ride. Obviously we all have alot to say. It's good to ask questions and it's fine to have differing opinions. I want this thread to be about the positives. There has been some glitches this week, and I know that those are all getting worked out.;)
This is just to say Thanks!!!
We appreiciate all the great things you do for us, not because you have to, but because you want to!!
Wired is going to be a wonderful addition to all the great things we have here on the message boards.
Looking forward to an Exiciting 2008!!!!
Thanks again, guys!!

Good idea, Jamie. I agree. There are always kinks to work out when you have something new. But, we know they are not being ignored. I want the thank you guys, too, for offering this to us. :)

I'm with ya, James!
Third Day goes above and beyond to give their fans a great experience. I am looking forward to all this club will become. Thanks for the time and attention you have put into it, guys.

Good thread Jamie!
Though I personally would have said it was "pawsitive".
I'm all signed up! I'm excited about the shirt too. Props to whoever designed it.
I appreciate the opportunity to be a part of Wired.
AND, thanks Jamie for offering to sign me up while I was out of town without internet access. That was super cool of you.

I have been excited about this from the beginning and I do think the benefits will be great. I'm a little cautious when new things begin and was not surprised with some of the glitches. Over all I'm looking forward to renewing again next year because I think it will be a great thing to be a part of. Thanks to everyone who has worked so hard to make this happen!!

Thanks for starting this post. I was about to PM Corrine to let her know that SOME of us are really excited about Wired and not complaining about any of the items that are being worked out.
Personally I think the $30 is cheap. If Third Day asked me for $30 and gave me nothing in return.... I'd write them a check right now!
Thanks to everyone that's putting this together, thank you SO much to Third Day and thank you God for the gifts that you've given to the members of Third Day that they so generously share with us!
:D :D  :D

I have no doubt that the men of Third Day will more than make the $30 membership seem like nothing by the time the renewal comes around.
They have always taken care of us and I’m sure this will be no different.
Not many artist are as open and caring about their fans as y’all are..
Thanks again for giving us even more opportunities to get closer and learn more about y’all.
I too am SO VERY excited about this & I am VERY grateful that Third Day cares so much about their fans that they are offering this to us as a BONUS!!:D
Of course you are always gonna have people complaining about something .... It would be IMPOSSIBLE to make everyone happy !!
With that being said ...I think this is a wonderful addition & can't wait to see all the other things they have in store for us !! :D
Thanks Guys

I'm so stoked!
I would have eaten gross things and embarrassed myself just for the chance to get M & G's. Oh wait, I did! I know not everybody has $30 to put out there, but it's not a time-limited thing. If you can't get it now, maybe for Christmas or a birthday gift! The fellas have done so much for us in the past, this is a pretty reasonable setup to me. I can't wait! :D

I always thought everything was great the way it was in Gomer-dom, but with all the perks, the new WIRED Gomer-dom is a terrific upgrade, indeed!
And once all the questions that are still up in the air (none of which has ever been a deal breaker for me, whatever the answers turn out to be) get answered, it can only make it even better. :)

I wanted to say thanks to Third Day also for the Wired site. Even though the Meet and greets and the free shirt are going to be really cool, I am excited about the 3D radio and concerts that we can listen to. I love to see the guys but I also just love a good Christian concert and live music. This gives us a chance to reminisce about a concert that we got to go to and the friends we saw/made or one that our fellow gomers got to attend. We all know that you always have a wonderful worship experience and are blessed as well as have fun when you go to their concerts. This lets you get to experience that over and over. As an added bonus this could also be an avenue to let a non believer listen in and be blessed also. Think about how many people commit their lives to christ just by going to a concert!

I've gotten my money's worth listening to the live shows. Live Third Day is my most favorite music. Great idea. And for those complaining, stop complaining. If you don't have the money and trully want to join, I'll pay for two memberships.

I find myself in total agreement with Robbie. Yes, shocking, I know. The live shows make the deal for me. I couldn't really afford it, but did it anyhow. Sometimes one has to budget luxuries first.

AMEN!!!
I was hoping that a Thread would start:D
I have felt bad for the guys because there have been so many issues with WIRED getting off the ground that it may have come across as being ungrateful...not saying that anyone is, mind;)
But I am thrilled!!
This is the only 'club' that I am willing to pay money for.:o :D I really do love Third Day...Their ministry has reached me in so many ways and brought me close to Jesus. So I am excited about WIRED and looking forward to see what is in store for us. I know of no other band who literally cares for their fans like Third Day do.
So thank you each of you....Tai, Mac, Brad, David and Mark!
Much love from Oz!:D

Ditto to all everyone else has said. I've really enjoyed the radio this week, and already requested my meet & greet passes. Can't wait to see what the Tshirts look like. Has anyone seen the design? $30, or $60 for my family, was reasonable and I'm sure we'll renew.

We're loving 'Wired' over here in the UK too! We don't get to see or hear as many shows as my lovely fellow Gomers. This is a fantastic chance for us to hear shows we would NEVER normally have the opportunity to hear. Thank you Third Day!! We can't wait to see and hear what you've got in store for us over the next year.

Hey,
So glad to see this thread. I know there have been concerns lately, but I have always felt everything would be fine!!! I am so glad to be Wired and I KNOW I will get more than my money's worth. A M&G pass alone is worth the price of Wired, and we get so much more. Traci and I were just discussing this last nite, and we were in agreement that the men of Third Day take care of their fans. I have never been disappointed and know I never will be. So I want to say, "Thank you for Wired!!". Mac, Tai, David, Brad, Mark, you guys are wonderful and so very much appreciated. Thanks for all you have done, and for what you continue to do. I am continually blown away by your care and concern for your fans.
Thank You So Much!!

Does anyone know when we'll get our t-shirts?
The Unknown Gomer

I don't remember seeing any specific delivery schedule or anything, but SOP for ordering stuff is usually to allow "4-6 weeks for delivery", so I don't expect to see any member packages (t-shirts, laminates, etc.) going out until mid to late November or so.
Just a guess though. :)

This site with the wired radio is amazing, who else would have so many concerts and all their cds in one mighty big gomer radio contraption.
Third day is by far THE BEST BAND IN THE WORLD, and they are a Christian band, which is awesome.
three cheers for Third day

Being Wired is totally awesome! They opportunities & benefits out weigh the cost!! They were very quick to get my package to me,( within a week)! This time I upgraded to a "family" membership, so they could go with me to the M&G"s! Not only that, you get 1st opportunity to get the best concert seats, discounts from the Third Day store, Wired Radio, & Pictures of you & the guys at the M&G's! Wired is well worth every penny!! I have a few questions about wired. First off I don't have it but really tempted to get it. I had a few questions to ask that I would love to be answered before being wired..Do you pay monthly or yearly.? And I heard there is a dicount when you renew how much money is it with the discount.? One more thing is there anything I should know about wired that would help my wired experience.? Thanks:D

You pay yearly.
And it's been a while, and several other memberships (BMG and U2) under the proverbial bridge, so I'm hoping I don't get my membership fees confused, but what was new member cost again? $50? I think the renewal cost this year was $40, so you saved $10.
Helpful hint: keep an eye out on the Wired M&G page if you want to sign up for a M&G for your show. Tickets have been on sale for the fall shows for a while now, and the M&G sign ups for those shows just showed up on the Wired site just recently. (Woot! I'm in for Raleigh. :D We may have lost Glory Revealed from our show, but at least we still have the M&G.) Never had a problem signing up for a M&G, but probably doesn't hurt to sign up sooner rather than later...

Thanks for the info and tip. :)
I used to be a Wired member but haven't renewed because they have not come close enough for me to go to a M&G....They did come this summer during a multi-day fest but I didn't know there was a M&G until too late! (In the past there had not been M&G at the summer fests I went to....so I didn't expect one this year...:( ) If they do come back around this way i'll probably renew...especially if it's going to be more than a "reception line" like the last couple I've been to....

Don't forget about the Meet and Greet Pictures posted and available for download on Wired. Love the 20% discount at the Third Day store too. Probably saved the cost of the membership already. Getting advanced notice and advanced chances to buy tickets is probably the best perk.

I second that. The first chance at tickets is a wonderful perk of being a Wired member. That and the Meet and Greets!! I have been a member since day one and will continue to renew as long as Third Day offers us this GREAT fan club!

I highly recommend being a wired member. The first concert we went to we were not. So, it was just another concert (albeit an awesome one) But once we joined and were able to meet with the guys and talk to them...it became so much more personal. It makes the concert so much more meaningful. Plus you find out what a bunch a great, down to earth, honest guys these are.
Also, I have become friends with people across the U.S. just from the Meet and Greets (and being a gomer). So you can go to concert 8 hours away from you (that'll be us in Oct, Louisville) and are excited not only to see Third Day, but also your Wired or Gomer friends that are going as well!
Not to mention, you get first bid on tickets. We got front row seats for our next concert...I know we wouldn't have gotten that w/out being Wired and having that first opportunity!

I highly recommend being a wired member...
Just an FYI, white is not a great color to type in; a lot of people still use the old blue and white board style, and when you type in white, it's all but invisible.
('Course, all you have to do is run the mouse over it and highlight it and it becomes visibile again, but just thought I'd mention it. :) )
But to borrow a quote from Martha Stewart: "Wired... it's a good thing."
