View Full Version : Wired Opening Date

Corrine

The opening date for Wired is now set for October. We're sorry for the delay. You will be receiving an email (if you are signed up on the email list on ThirdDay.com) about this soon. This means we won't be buying tickets through Wired for the Christmas tour, but I've been assured we will still get good chances at great seats, even without the new service.

Thanks for the update, Corrine.

Is the Christmas tour presale still on for Friday? (it was supposed to be this Friday, right? 8/24 rings a bell with me as being the date for that...)

Tickets going to be on sale through the site or somewhere else?

E mail about Wired said that tickets would go on pre-sale 8/24 and would be available to everyone on 9/7. Does this mean we will get a chance to purchase through a different pre-sale?

Only for Pittsburgh. Others to be announced.Cool. Good to know. As always, Mama G. comes through with all the answers!

Thanks!

(Just a note to the presale powers-that-be though, if they can avoid doing for the SC shows what they did for the Charlottesville show - sending out the emails announcing the presale two hours AFTER it had already started, with NO advanced warning  - that would be great. Even one day's notice would be helpful, preferably more. Thanks! :) )

Thanks for the update Corrine.

PITTSBURGH?!?!?!? When will the final Christmas Offerings Tour dates be announced? Are tickets still going on sale the 7th to the general public?

Pittsburgh would mean I don't have to get on a plane to see the tour.

I'm with you, even more confused.  :o :(

Corrine just kind of threw "Pittsburgh" out there in her post. I was going by the list that you just posted again, and had resigned myself to fly to either GA or TN for a concert.

Now, I see a glimmer of hope to not have to travel so far. I know the announcement from which you pulled the dates said that the dates were tentative and subject to change.

I guess we'll have to wait for another official announcement to get to the bottom of this.

A limit for Wired? Never thought about that. Maybe a limit on the number of meet and greet passes issued?

I guess that's what I was thinking. If you paid for WIRED, but there are tons of WIRED members at the show you're attending...are you still guaranteed a meet and greet pass?? There has to be a limit as some point. Just wondering how it's gonna work. :)

Other fan clubs have a limit. Something like the first 50 to sign up get the passes. That seems fair to me.

I'm very happy about the price. We'll be buying 2 of course. :)

Does the 'Wired' package include those of us across the waters? What do you guys think? It doesn't say anything about it only being for US citizens, soooooo.......

Requesting a meet and greet pass and getting one are two different things.

I know some other paid fan clubs that you can request a pass, but that does not mean you always get it. It depends on a variety of factors, including whether or not there's a meet and greet happening at a particular show.

Not trying to be a downer...just pointing out that it says you can request them for any show. It says nothing about actually receiving it every time.

The only thing would be if YOU guys would be getting enough for your money given how seldom they play overseas in comparison to how often they play here. Other than the M&G passes, though, you could still make use of the WIRED fan package, and the online music database, as well as the 20% discount on moichandising. :)

The presale for Brookfield is 9/28! That's before Wired becomes available. :)Maybe they'll make the WIRED M&G request thing retroactive for the folks who are getting their tickets via the presale before WIRED is actually up and running. If I remember right, based on what little info they leaked about it in advance, it didn't sound like the two (ticket presale and M&G request) were linked in any way, anyway.

Guess we'll just have to wait and see how that part of it works, along with everything else. :)

Come on, October "Oneth" Woot! :D

Hmmm... I can make an educated guess about the meet/greets. My guess is that a meet/greet request means that you will put in for a meet/greet for the show you want and they select a certain number out of the requests. That can be good or bad for me. If I joined, that would be my main reason. The upside is that there doesn't tend to be a huge number of people on the fan club from my area. The downside is that they may or may not come anywhere near me in the next year.

April 1, 2008;)

Seriously, though...

Is anybody out there going to communicate with us on the status of the Wired Fan Club? I was one of those freaks on the edge of my seat back in August.

Deja vu....

Wired is SO WORTH WAITING FOR, though! Just a little communication would be great, just to put us out of our misery! Thanks for all you guys do at 3D.com. I know you are no doubt busy, busy, busy! In the meantime, I am so THANKFUL to the band and all responsible for WIRED. I can't wait to become a member! The live music database alone makes this a very generous offer! SIGN ME UP! :D

Thanks again for all you do!
