I've decided to go with a dual channel motherboard since I have an Intel processor.

For you techies out there - which board brands have you had good luck with? I'm not spending a lot, but may reconsider if something just really sticks out.

Thanks in advance for your feedback! :D

I've had Intel md's in home and work computers (both assembled around 2 years ago) and have NOT been impressed - particularly with the way they do not handle the audio well at all. Intel processors have been fine tho

The only two MBs I have ever bought were an ECS and a Gigabyte. The ECS had problems. I ditched it and got the Gigabyte. It was much better.
Keep in mind that this was 4 years ago, so things might have changed. But that machine is still humming along.

The board I have in the one I'm wanting to replace is a Gigabyte board, and it's been fine. But it's single channel, and bought it because I got it for a STEAL - it was an open box. I should have just paid more for dual because now I'm about to do it anyways, but oh well.

I always use either Abit or Asus, myself. Check NewEgg (http://www.newegg.com) for prices.

Newegg rocks!! That's where I was planning on buying from. Super fast shipping and good prices.

Yep. Good customer service & easy returns too, as long as you keep the original boxes.
