i think it's good that the Christian community is getting involved in the environment. In fact, I think they can do more to convince people to take care of the earth etc... than the secular groups. The reason is b/c they don't have to use global warming as the reason behind it. They can encourage good stewardship biblically and build the case that way rather than on scientists or following politicians.

To answer the question that is the title of this thread: He'd drive a Honda.

How do I know?

His apostles shared a Honda, according to Acts 2:1 "And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place."

The real question is what Ray Stevens asked: "would Jesus wear a Rolex on his television show?"

:D and btw...Middletree, I about shot water out of my nose at that one! LOL!

In all seriousness, taking care of the environment is a good thing. It's even biblical. But the whole Live Earth/Al Gore mindset is based on many falsehoods.

Can I get a collective "GROAN" here??? :P

I think Jesus would ride a bicycle, take the subway/bus or at the very least carpool. I also think he would walk whenever possible and have cloth grocery bags. Just my opinion. :D

If CO2 from car emissions was actually the cause of higher temperatures, I'd agree with you.

Jesus drove a donkey. They're cheap, no gas. May be noisy and have emission problems but whatever.

a Prius.... the most fuel efficient vehicle out now. I believe Jesus would be very environmentally conscious.

This article stated that this was started around 2002? Had anyone else heard of this before I posted this article?

It's a great thing - and a great way to think about conservation.

I've heard the NAE talk about his for a while, though I've not read that article before.

I'm in agreement with that. How much better is a false church if you can incorporate parts of the true Church in it?

I think it's important for Christians to live conservative life styles in all respects. But we should be careful with whom we ally ourselves with.

Al Gore and Co. take it to an extreme, saying if we don't do something now we're all going to die. Most of it is secular progressivism and liberalism featuring propaganda as its main weapon, and it wouldn't be so bad if Gore wasn't asking for billions of dollars to combat a problem that hasn't been proven to be an actual problem.

Yes, we should preserve the environment and take care of God's Earth, but these activists have been deceived in such a way that they are putting the environment before human lives. Also, we have to remember this Earth is temporary, and to try and "save" it would be going against God's will and trying to stop something that is GOING to happen. Take care of it, yes. Try to "save" it, no. I think the Casting Crowns song "While You Were Sleeping" illustrates this point very well:

Oh little town of Bethlehem
Looks like another silent night
Above your deep and dreamless sleep
A giant star lights up the sky
And while you're lying in the dark
There shines an everlasting light
For the King has left His throne
And is sleeping in a manger tonight

Oh Bethlehem, what you have missed while you were sleeping
For God became a man
And stepped into your world today
Oh Bethlehem, you will go down in history
As a city with no room for its King
While you were sleeping
While you were sleeping

Oh little town of Jerusalem
Looks like another silent night
The Father gave His only Son
The Way, the Truth, the Life had come
But there was no room for Him in the world He came to save

Jerusalem, what you have missed while you were sleeping
The Savior of the world is dying on your cross today
Jerusalem, you will go down in history
As a city with no room for its King
While you were sleeping
While you were sleeping

United States of America
Looks like another silent night
As we're sung to sleep by philosophies
That save the trees and kill the children
And while we're lying in the dark
There's a shout heard 'cross the eastern sky
For the Bridegroom has returned
And has carried His bride away in the night

America, what will we miss while we are sleeping
Will Jesus come again
And leave us slumbering where we lay
America, will we go down in history
As a nation with no room for its King
Will we be sleeping
Will we be sleeping

United States of America
Looks like another silent night

Considering the people with whom Jesus associated, and their parallels in our culture, I think He'd probably drive around an old, utilitarian pickup truck.

Something like this:
http://www.avonhill.com/thumbnails/pick-up/1985_Ford_F150.jpeg

He wouldn't be on the trendy, politically correct cutting edge. He also wouldn't be worried about being flashy or showing off in a new luxury SUV. He'd have the vehicle that got his work done. He was a carpenter and spent time with fishermen and other "blue-collar" types. So, I think he'd have a truck.

I know God like British Automobiles.

2 Cor 1:14 says so

Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.

and not that He would make His Triumph 'fully sik', I did find a Triumph Estate in Gomer Orange which I am sure would be to His pleasing.

Somehow that trumpy caused me to emit a Tim Taylor type sound from my lips! :) :) We had a trumpy before we started having kids, then we needed the petrol money for other things so downsized to a Toyota... sad....

Did anyone watch Nightline about this, well I'll say kook but I haven't read every jot and tittle about him on the internet, that say "What would Jesus buy?"

He rails against companies like WalMart by screaming, singing, and being otherwise disrespectful
