We'd like to limit participation this season to Gomers and board members only, so please keep that in mind when considering whether to invite a friend. We'll be playing on FOX Sports this season, based on the experience I had there last season. To join, visit this link (http://msn.foxsports.com/fantasy/football/commissioner/create-join) and supply the league ID and password.

The league is set up for 14 teams right now, which will provide the most balanced play (14 teams means you play everybody once for 13 games, and the playoffs start in week 14). That's what we're shooting for. The live draft is set for Sunday September 2nd at 3:30 PM. I attempted to pick a time that was good for east coasters, west coasters, early church goers and late churchgoers. If the draft time becomes a major problem, we'll adjust.

I'm out of town this week, but I'll be happy to answer any questions when I get back, or as I am able during the week.

So it will automatically pick your highest ranked player that is available? What happens if it keeps picking the same position for you? Say RBs. You could theoretically have picked 5 RBs. Is this a strategy when ranking, or will the computer select different position players for you? :confused:

Edit: Never mind, I found the roster limits in leagues' settings.

Le Is More, I saw that happen in the ESPN live draft I did today...one guy picked 4 runnings back in the first 4 rounds.

By the way, ESPN offers live scoring and it's free, so if you want to change your mind about Fox Sports, this is a good time to do it.

I had a lot of fun with this when I played at work. If it didn't take so much time I'd have played here. I guess if you keep up with everyone it's much easier and doesn't take as much time. But it was a lot of fun anyhow.

I use my bookmark, sign in, and it redirects me to the registration page. FoxSports still shows they are having this error.

I try to use the link in Sam's first post and it directs me to sign up for a league.

How does everybody feel about the draft today?

I think I did okay. However, this is my first fantasy football attempt, so for all I know, I might of done bad. :D The running back position is definetly my strength. My only concern is picking four rookies who haven't proved themselves in the league. Oh well, should be fun anyways. :D

I feel good about my team. I was surprised by the early run on quarterbacks, but I think I've got enough good RBs and WRs that even VY can carry me.

Unfortunatly, I don't think I stand much of a chance.:( Due to bye weeks I will be missing: Frank Gore, Travis Henry, Calvin Johnson, and Ben Roethlisberger. Your defense is officially noted has having allowed 8 points (1 TD, 2 PAT). You did received credit for the FG-BLK-TD. Sometimes ya just have to wait for the computers sort out the irregular scoring plays.

Now that the Colts have proven they can be beat, and need to win out the rest of the year, that guarantees Peyton will be playing late into the season (unlike the last couple of years) and I’ve picked up a couple sleepers that should average close 15- points per game. No more byes for me so I should do pretty well. Looking forward to the remainder of the season… and a couple re-matches...:D

Thanks to Adrian Peterson, I did have a nice week! I've never had a player score so high. On a different topic, my family and I are heading down to Norfolk, Va tonight to see Casting Crowns, Leeland and John Waller. I am really excited to see Casting Crowns again and looking forward to both Leeland and John Waller. The Waller Cd is a good listen ("Blessing"). We're taking a church bus with about 23 others, I'm pumped for an awesome night of worship!:D

Listening to the Monday night game and simultaneously watching my score, I was praying the Seahawks would give it to Maurice Morris JUST ONCE MORE! But they just knelt the ball 3 times. All I needed was ONE MORE YARD! Come on guys! Morris deserved one more carry. I didn't get much help from my receivers either this week. Actually, Fox counted only one first down for TJ Houshmenzadeh but I counted two. :mad: Ahhhhhh! I'm a little frustrated right now. :mad:

Give it until Wednesday.. I think something similar happened to me last year and it took a couple days for ALL the points and corrections to go through. The other person was very upset at the altered records, since it meant playoff spots, but the points were right.. if you only lost by .02 (I haven't checked yet since I had the bye week against the Colonels ;) ) you'll get those adjusted and win.. :)

In the Yahoo league I play in, I went into last night's game up 16 points... my opponent had Frank Gore and the Seattle defense and I had TE Will Heller. I ended up losing by 3. If San Francisco could have gotten just one field goal, we would have tied. Of course the -1 points by Damon Huard didn't help me very much either. I'm now out of the top-6 in that one :/

No thats not the closest this season. I lost a couple weeks ago by less than a 1/10 of a point. I believe it was a 0.04 point difference. Anyways, it went into a tie breaker and the other guy won, and therefore got an extra point.

I'm glad I had a buy this week, my team didn't perform very well. My WR's haven't been scoring hardly any points for me the past couple of weeks. Steve Smith has been a complete bust since Delhomme got injured.

I just hope that Brady and his boys don't get too carried away with destroying the Jets - I think they should rest Brady myself :rolleyes: but, I don't expect that to happen!

Once again I’m in need of some career numbers by my second half players, because I am losing by my wide receiver selections! :rolleyes:

OH! Can someone please kick coach Tomlin in his backside and remind him (before the 4th quarter) that they have a perennial pro-bowler as a running back. How many times do I have to watch Willie rip off a 8, 12, and 15 yard gains to then see 2 or 3 consecutive passes and a punt? I read a blog entry by a Steelers fan complaining that Tomlin has done so much less with all the talent he has that he should get fired. After watching the play calling today I’m not so sure that person is wrong..

I was amazed when I saw Brady's stats. People were projecting a blowout and the Jets were in that game until the end. :eek:

I thought I was going to lose since Hasselbeck had a poor game, but he did get a last second TD to make it a respectable day.

I tend to make several starting changes throughout the week, especially at QB. I have the hardest time deciding who to start at QB. This week Rotter projects Big Ben to have 28 points and Hasselbeck to have 27. I'm not exactly sure who I should chose.

My team has down-graded as the season progressed due to injuries. I lost Ronnie Brown who was tearing it up, and my team never seemed the same. Both Frank Gore and Steve Smith have been huge disapointments this year. Travis Henry is no longer a starter. Ok, I should stop talking down my team. They have gotten me this far. :D

By the way Jay, I don't think you will score that 180+ points you are projected to score. I don't know how many you will score, but I do know your total will be less than mine! :D ;)

Yeah, projections are pointless. It always over-estimates what my actual score is. However, I would be happy with 160+ points. I've also noticed that the projections change during the week. Originally Jay had a projection of over 180, but is now arond 165.

I sure hope Bush doesn't play. My RB situation has been terrible lately. I need Stecker to get all the touches he can get. :D

The Steelers-Rams game is over now, and I have good and bad news.

The good news is that my kicker scored more than Goofyjay's Hines Ward and Heath Miller.

The bad news, I didn't put Big Ben into my starting line-up! :eek:

It was a ok season. Its actually more fun when you don't have half the teams quit before half the season is over... This could have been more of a competitive league. I thought the teams were pretty balanced, people just didn't make the effort each week to make changes.

I'll ping you and Goofy next year. I have another 2 leagues I play in that you guys may enjoy more. There is more trading and all coaches play each week. So you don't have off weeks. :)
