Limewire is for file-sharing, not animation.

And I know in the past, it wasn't particularly safe for file-sharing.

Yes, sort of. People allow you to access their computers to share music (and other files) they have. But as Sam said it may not be safe. Also, people often share copyrighted music which is not good.

But I thought you were asking about animation.

Don't use it. Shared files are riddled with viruses, porn, and spyware.

yea... I tried it.... my uncle uses it, and I decided to try it out... it screwed up my internet connection, and I had to get rid of it to get my internet to come back up...

I just got home from a Higher Ground Summer Camp in NC where I serve as the assistant director and some of our volunteer staff used limewire (on my lappie) to download a few songs for our dance. When I got home I had to format my hd. I was due for that anyway as I format C: annually. But it was limewire that sped up the process.
