Me too - although I also think ducks are cute.

I used to have 2 roosters and 4 hens as pets. The roosters were great guard.....chickens. Anytime a car would drive up to the house, they would go to crowing. Also had some geese. They were mean.
The plantation we live on has a bunch of ducks. I love them, too. We have a couple of fox squirrels that come around our house. Beautiful creatures.

What breed of geese did you have? We have brown and white chineese and they are the sweetest things. They are a better "watch dog" than our dog. When a car pulls in our drive they honk up a storm.

Here's a pic of the brood ...

The brown and white chineese have the black beaks - in the back are two Pilgrim geese, but we don't have them anymore..

The white ones you have pictured. That's what we used to have til we moved. We had 2 of them. One died and I believe another animal killed the 2nd one. This place we are at now has Canadian geese stop by now and then.

I like ALL animals, essentially, except spiders, I'm a real arachnophobe. Other bugs don't bother me though, and neither do reptiles of any kind.

But other than cats and dogs, which are kind of a given for me, I'm particularly fond of bunnies, tigers, and those "happy cows from California", oh my. :P

Oh, and those guinea pigs that always look like they're having a bad hair day. Absolutely adorable. :)

Snakes are slurpy and slimy and icky. Scorpions are freakin cute! Once, I found a whole family of baby scorpions living in our house. My sister's dad used to kill them and keep them in jars for us when we lived out in the boonies. He used to do the same with tarantulas. I think it freaks people out that I like "creepy crawlies". One time, my ex and I were out working and I found this cute little scorpion. We were mean and harrased the poor little guy, but he wouldnt strike us...or the stick we were poking him with.

Afraid of spiders? How? They're so cute! Especially those tiny ones that creep up on you.

OHH you know what I love? Lizards. We have one I like to call the porch lizard. Ever since I can remember, we had lizards living on our porches, like behind the lamps. The one here comes out at night and hangs out on the screen door, eating moths. He's soooo cute!

I've never liked them in the first place, but then when I was checking out a fairly good sized garden spider (well, what I always considered good sized until I saw the garden spiders that we get here in NC! ) that was hanging out in a really big web in our yard, I leaned over a little too far and fell into it.

Been terrified of them, and not too keen on spider webs either, ever since.

Banana spider? *stops to google them* Oh THOSE guys! My sister calls them writing spiders because of those big thick zigzags that they put in their webs. She usually gets 2 or 3 in her yard every year, while fortunately for me we've only gotten three in the 12+ years we've been in our house.

One of which actually built its web on my car door between my driver side mirror and the window one time. Something I didn't see until after I got into the car, turned to the window to put my seatbelt on, and came face to face with it, about three inches from my face, just on the other side of the window. By the time I'd scrambled over the parking brake, out the passenger side door, and up the driveway back into the house, I was darn near in hysterics. My mother thought I'd run over a dog or something. :o

And after seeing the ones in my sister's yard a few years ago, I ended up having a nightmare that night, that those things were crawling over and making webs all over everything. Inside the house, outside the house, every where. I woke up in tears, absolutely freaked out. :o

With that being said, as long as they stay outside the house where they belong, and do NOT build their webs across our doorways overnight so that we have to riiiiiip through them to get out of the house in the morning, I AM all about "live and let live" for them. And don't even really like to kill the ones IN the house if I can help it, but do usually need to scoot them someplace where the cats can't get to them.

I suppose traumatizing situations would do it. I've never had a traumatizing situation with a snake, but I have had incredibly disturbing dreams about them. I can't figure if I'm afraid of them because of the dreams, or if I have the dreams because I'm afraid.

Thats funny about your car experience. I had that once with a bee, only I kicked the car into neutral during my scuffle to jump out the other door and the car started rolling backwards. The bee had flown into the car and landed on the steering wheel. Luckily, I had been in a parking lot when it happened.
