I'm a bit surprised I haven't seen anything on here about Dr. Kevorkian's recent release from prison.

It seems like there would be at least a little stir from the conservatives on here. I am actually glad this man was released from prison. I have no problem at all with physician assisted suicide and wouldn't care at all if it was legalized in all 50 states. In my opinion I think it is evil for the state to force a terminally ill and suffering patient from deciding to go on to the next life, wherever it may take them. Instead of allowing people like Dr. Kevorkian to assist others in suicide in a safe and desirable way, the government has forced people to live in constant pain, torture, suffering...or to commit suicide in 'unpleasant' ways. I would never look to suicide for myself, but I do believe that it should be the right of a person to ask for professional help when dying. The government should NOT have control over who helps you getting there.
