I was just wondering....what does become of the broken hearted? God teaches us to forgive and to love each other. What happens when we forgive someone and we love them too but it is clear that the relationship you have between you is just too hard to continue?
What does become of the broken hearted? Third Day tells us to Cry Out to Jesus...and that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Why is so easy to believe this somedays and others not?
Why do I feel like having bi polar is slowly going to drive away everyone that I love and that it is only a matter of time? I kind of understand why people take their own lives some days cause it so painful to watch it walk away bit by bit instead. I know that God loves the down trodden....but does anyone else?

Nicci,
I have been broken hearted and I have also been there for the broken hearted. I agree that some days it's hard to cry out to Jesus. But cry we must as He alone can "bind up the broken hearted."
Standing with you,
Jason

.... and don't forget .... we may feel like we're cracking up but it's through the cracks that His light shines.

Psalms 34:18 "The LORD is near to the brokenhearted And saves those who are crushed in spirit."
Psalms 147:3 "He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds."
Isaiah 61:1 "The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, Because the LORD has anointed me To bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to captives And freedom to prisoners;"
Luke 4:18 "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,"

I've been broken-hearted and can say that the scriptures middletree posted were my life-line. The only place I found solace and comfort...the only place I found peace and healing was in the presence of God. It didn't happen overnight but it happened. I was so desperate for help that every day I literally fell to my knees and lived in His presence because anywhere else felt like death. He is a good God and faithful to His word. I pray you find peace...I pray you find healing in His presence.

BFG:
I just wanted to add that the verses I posted, especially the one in Luke, where Jesus quotes Isaiah, are what He said when He went public with His ministry. Pretty astounding when you think about it. He is about to go through 3 and a half years that will be recorded in the Word, the 3 and half years which will define Him and the One who sent Him, and this is what He chooses to say to announce why He came.
He didn't say "I came to keep people from going to Hell" although we know that was a huge portion of what He did for us. He said "I came to heal the brokenhearted, and to free the prisoners, and to proclaim the favor of the Lord.
Wow. Jesus came to heal your heart. Walk in that.

Isn't that wonderful! He came, the Son of God, the one who spoke things into being, the King who sits at the right hand of the Father... wahoo! He came to heal our broken hearts... thanks Tree - it's all so very simple when we look at it like that... :) :)

Butterfly, in my case the bipolar was diagnosed after four kids and over four years of marriage. She stuck by me so I would say pray for another believer to be united to. You will find the right soulmate for life if that is God's will. It is hard to realize that God might not have a husband for you. Even though that was probably Paul's case(some argue he was married), my hope is you will find the right person, actually God will bring him into your life. Let me know if you ever want to talk. Feel free to post your requests on P & P(Prayer & Praise) when you really get up or really get down.
Blessings,
Doriano

"A broken contrite heart, oh LORD, You will NOT ignore." Psalm 51 says that.
"He heals the broken-hearted and binds up their wounds." Psalm 147:3 says that.
"Even if my own mom and dad should give up on me and want nothing else to do with me, STILL GOD will take me in and take care of me." Psalm 27:10 (My absolute favorite verse in the whole Bible. B/c, I have actually been through this type of situation before. That verse speaks volumes to me personally).
"I will not abanded you as orphans, I WILL come to you."
"You will give him perfect peace and wholeness who's mind is stayed on You."
"You know my troubles."
"MANY are the afflictions of the Righteous, BUT THE LORD delievers from them all."
"Since GOD is for you, who can possibly be against you?"
"Peace I leave with you, not as the world gives, but as I give to you. Believe in GOD, believe also in Me."
"And Jesus healed them ALL."
"... Who went about doing good, healing ALL who were oppressed, for GOD was with Him."
"I AM The LORD that heals you."
I thought that could help.
