So I was messing around on the Third Day website for the first time in a while and found the online radio. Then I found the link to the Contagious album. Having been an avid follower of Third Day for several years now, I have collected almost all of their mainstream cds, but found the Contagious album very uplifting. I know im not the only one wondering about this, but does anyone have any advice or can point me in the right direction to possibly find a copy of this obscure album? Thanks.

I saw the link to the album on Ebay last week, but its gone already! Talk about being in the right place at the wrong time...

ebay is often the best route to go, though it seems mac, or maybe it was mark, has said there are better ways to spend your money than those high prices it goes for there....i can't say anything.. i sold mine there some months back.:cool:

I have been wanting to get it as well. The only thing is that last time it was on ebay it was $75 and like larryl posted "Their are better ways to spend your money".

$225 for a sealed copy.

Picked up both Long Time Forgotten and Contagious on ebay. Don't remember for how much, though. A bunch. But I know other folks have paid more, so that makes me feel like I got SOMEWHAT of a "bargain" for them. ;)

The real steal was finding someone selling two cassettes of Brad's earlier band Fields of Youth. I guess nobody was after those, so I got them at a pretty reasonable price.

But yeah, for stuff like this, ebay is the only way to fly, IMHO.

My boss gave me a signed copy of Contagious a couple of years ago. I was watching it on eBay, and it went for around $500.

Here's my problem: she had the CD and the jacket framed in a REALLY NICE frame, so I haven't been able to listen to it. I'm scared to take it out fearing I will damage the CD. It looks very nice on my gameroom wall, but I want to have the songs on my iPod, and haven't been able to get them there yet. I'm contemplating taking it back to the framing store (I know the owner) and have him take it out so I can download the songs to my computer, and then put it back in the frame.

Would it be illegal to suggest ripping the raw audio off of the Third Day online radio?.... I'm quite curious about this. Delete this post if necessary. But heck, it'd keep him from having to open the framing up and potentially damage the album.

This is the first I've heard of "Fields of Youth".I kind of did a doubletake when I saw the two cassettes ("Secret Things" & "The Embrace") show up on ebay, I never knew he'd released anything prior to being in Third Day.

But there he was on the liner notes - credited as guitar demigod, background vocals, and "music by..." . :cool:

And "Wardrobe by K-Mart". :D

On that first album with the picture of the guys in a goofy pose, how come this photo reminds me of the DC Talk's "Nu Thang" album art? I dunno, this is just a random thought.

All songs are different recordings from the album "Third Day." The songs: Contagious, Simply Amazin', Sometimes (Blues Song), and Faith Hope and Love are all Third Day songs only found on this album, and this version of Thief is played with an acoustic guitar instead of a piano (1994, Third Day).

And don't forget that "Praise Song (Opus 2)" on Contagious is NOT the same "Praise Song" on the Bus CD. If I remember right, the one on Contagious actually turned into "Take My Life" that later showed up on the Gray Dot and Bus CDs. And Praise Song on the Bus CD is an entirely different animal.
