"No Weapon Formed Against Us" by Petra

No weapon formed against us shall prosper
All those who rise up against us shall fall
I will not fear what the devil may bring me
I am a servant of God
I am a servant of God

I love Petra, it was some of the first Christian music I heard

Are these supposed to be Third Day songs?

"Give" will always be the song that helps me out.

"Sing a Song" is my happy song...it always puts a smile on my face.

"My hope is You" has gotten me through many a bad day!

My Hope Is You, Tunnel and Your Love Oh Lord. Get On from CT also..

So you think you had me
Had me in your sights
I've got news for you
I'm working over time
To get away from slander
To stay away from lies
I won't listen to you criticize

Get on, get on, get on away from me
If you're trying to bring me down
If you're trying to bring me down
Get on, get on, get on away from me
If you're trying to bring me down
If you're trying to bring me down

I am not sure what Third Day intended when they did this song, but when I listen to it, I feel like Jesus is talking to me like a friend and letting me know that our struggles here on earth are only temporary. It is so easy to let things bother you that really don't matter at all.

Cry out to Jesus is a good one for me, but if I am really bad, I go back to Rich Mullins and "Hold me, Jesus." I will cry the whole way thru the song and feel so much lighter on the other side!;)

I love the song Rise Up, and it is actually part of my Gomer Name "RiseUp4Jesus" Gomer. I took that song very personally as well. I had been in a deep pit of despair for about 5 years, and God lifted me out. It was like Jesus was talking to me and saying, it is time to Rise Up and not be kept down by Satan anymore!! I first heard that song around the time that I received that spiritual "lifting" and so the song became a favorite.
Mountain of God also is very uplifting.
The Everlasting
King of Glory
Truly every Third Day CD ministers to me, so it is hard to choose. But Offerings 1 and 2 are very uplifting!!

I guess I would have to say the song that helps me the most is "Cry Out To Jesus". As someone who has lived through a loved one's suicide, and left with a great deal of emotiona turmoil as a result, this song, gives me great inspiration.

When I am having those times that are more difficult, when I'm struggling or when things aren't going right, music is a comfort to me. There are a few songs that stand out, though, as being particularly meaningful in those times.

When the Rain Comes, I Don't Know, It's Alright, I Deserve?, Who I Am, It's a Shame, Innocent ... all Third Day songs that have spoken to me at specific moments.

Unfailing Love by Chris Tomlin, Wholly Yours by David Crowder Band, Deteriorate by Demon Hunter, Perfect by Flyleaf, Oceans from the Rain by Seventh Day Slumber, and many others have also been meaningful to me as well.

I have a hard time crying ... which helps relieve stress, and take hurting down a notch. So when I need a good cry when things are really bad I listen to:

Cry Out to Jesus - 3D
Come and Listen - David Crowder Band

When I need to be uplifted:

God of Wonders - live version (One of my favorite songs!) - 3D
Mountain of God - 3D
I've Always Loved You - 3D
Tunnel - 3D
My Hope is You - 3D
Show me Your Glory - 3D
Word of God Speak - Kutless

Last night I woke up and sat straight up out of bed at 12:07am and the song Undo by Rush of Fools was playing on my tv. I was immediately reminded of about a year ago when I was starting to wake up and realize how bad I had really 'skrewed up' my life. I would spend hours praying and crying this song out to God but never thought he was really listening to me. Last night was like God showing me how he came in and 'undid' what I had done. This song helped me through that time of my life and still does today when I get down.

Rush Of Fools - Undo Lyrics

I've been here before, now here I am again
Standing at the door, praying You'll let me back in
To label me a prodigal would be
Only scratching the surface of who I've been known to be

[Chorus]
Turn me around pick me up
Undo what I've become
Bring me back to the place
Of forgiveness and grace
I need You, need Your help
I can't do this myself
Youre the only one who can undo
What I've become

I focused on the score, but I could never win
Trying to ignore, a life of hiding my sin
To label me a hypocrite would be
Only scratching the surface of who I've been known to be

[Chorus]
Turn me around pick me up
Undo what I've become
Bring me back to the place
Of forgiveness and grace
I need You, need Your help
I can't do this myself
Youre the only one who can undo
What I've become

Make every step lead me back to
The sovereign way that You

[Chorus]
Turn me around pick me up
Undo what I've become
Bring me back to the place
Of forgiveness and grace
I need You, need Your help
I can't do this myself
Youre the only one who can undo
What I've become

With many years of experience, I submit a general list (very eclectic):

"Hush" - Acappella
"To Live is to Fly" - Townes Van Zandt
"Why Me Lord" - Kris Kristofferson
"Cry Out to Jesus" - Third Day
"I Know a Man Who Can" - ???

Third Day songs for times of trouble:

"Cry Out to Jesus"
"Rise Up"
"All the Heavens"
"Blessed Assurance"

The lists could go on, but those are my favorites.

"Your Love Oh Lord" got me through the roughest summer [last year] I have ever experienced as a mother which in the midst of everything, we were trying to sell our home ourselves and homeschool our son.

Our Praise and Worship every day was "Your Love Oh Lord" for me and "Have Mercy" for him. :)

I LOVE "Rise Up"!!
I have a big long list of lots of songs(not just TD) that I like to listen to if I'm sad!
A few are: when the rain comes, i've always loved you, & the everlasting!!

I have been listening to 3D constantly for the last month...I've been going through a very difficult personal time over the last 7 months (my husband has been dealing with a very devastating emotional issue and about a year ago, totally dropped out of church, stopped listening to Christian music, just dropped everything relating to Christianity and has been trying to 'deal' with this on his own...not working real well, so my prayer life got real important, real deep, real fast!) Things are gradually coming around for us...it's cool to see how God will bring different ways to let me know that He is there, watching out for us in the midst of this trial... My husband has a huge Christian CD collection and also sang in the praise band at church (he did a 3D song several times too)...anyway, last month, while driving our son to school in the mornings, I had on our local Christian radio station and almost every day they'd play a 3D song (Tunnel was the one that really got to me)...I was reminded of how much I enjoyed their music, but we hadn't listened to it in a long time...so I asked my hubby to pull out their CD's for me...WOW...God has really spoken to me through their music, I had no idea how terrific they really were, until God used them to minister to me in a new way.

Seems like each week and day, a different song reaches me in a new way...yesterday and today,"Rise Up" has been a constant comfort...I too feel like it is Jesus' message directly to my husband...I was brought to tears yesterday as I really listened to the lyrics and allowed them to minister to me. I am planning on playing it for my husband, when his heart is open to receive it....I know it will touch him too.

Also,"Mountain of God" has been a great help. My husband is listening to Christian music again, especially 3D and we are going to their concert in August! God is really using them in our situation!

definitely "Let Me Love You" it's amazing...so is revelation...the album itself is amazing and is possibly the best 3D cd to date.
