well for me i would have to say Your Love Oh Lord (Live) i know is old but i've been listening to it since 2000 and i listen to it still at least once a week, that is a LOT of times.. that's not counting the first 800 times i heard it when it first came out and also not the other 800 times when i have been in trials..
I haven't heard a more encouraging phrase when i'm going thru trials than I'll find my strength in the shadow of His wings... gives me a peace that only God can give..

after that .. Long time coming.. i blew one speaker of my truck cause i always play it a little too loud!! :D but it's ok.. between long time coming and More Than i Deserve my subwoofer gets a nice work out pretty much everyday.. i miss a little hard rock like that from 3d

But Innocent is just extraordinary; Blind...oh so beautiful; She Sings In Riddles is hauntingly beautiful; oh! Theif from CV1; Agnus Dei is an all time favourite; Sing A Song is great! I love that one....

There are some that are my favs because they describe me or meet me where I am at or have been.
There are some where the music alone just grabs me and sooths me, or revives me - like I Can Feel It.
There are some songs that God has used to speak to me at poignant times in my life and they alone should be listed as my favourites. But as I have said, its mood dependent.

How can I forget Long Time Comin'!:eek: That song is the BEST! You know, I honestly dont have a song that I dislike from Third Day....HONEST!:cool:

It reminds us all what a fine line we walk as Christians, and sometimes it can be scary there, right? Makes you even more thankful that God is there to catch you, because people aren't always.

I CAN FEEL IT is one of my favorites live, but not so much on the record. (There's a viiiibe you get on the live performance that just doesn't quite get there on the recording.)

My favorite song is "Love Song". What gets me about this song is how it talks about how Jesus would be tortured again if that's what it takes to be with us. I don't know of a scripture that speaks about this exactly, but I think God can use songwriters as prophets of encouragement so that His words can be heard through the song.

Charli, grab a tissue before you start reading this.

Well.... I have to relate the story of why the song is my favorite first.

My oldest daughter Charli (now 12) was taking riding lessons about 45 minutes from our house and I would take her to them every Saturday morning. Unfortunately where her lessons were the radio coverage was not so good so I would end up starting the CD player in the van when we got about 15 minutes from the lessons.

I just happened to have Offerings II in the player one Saturday and when the song Creed came on I decided I must hear it more and more (yes I know that is an addiction :D ). Anyhow for the next several weeks when the radio station would cut out I would start the CD and amazingly Creed would always be the song that was played (like I said it is an addiction).

Of course I would always hold up 3 fingers at the appropriate time and other normal Gomer things. Everybody knows the part where Mac says "Portland Maine, do you believe?" Well I started yelling it back to her as she sat in the last row of the minivan. This became our Saturday morning ritual. Then one Saturday it happened.

As I very poorly imitated Mac and said "Charli! Do you believe!?" I heard from the back something I at first had to turn the music all the way down so I could ask what she said. When Charli repeated herself and said "Yes I believe" I almost drove off the road.

So my #1 favorite is Creed.

After that I would go old school all the way

Yes, it's called "Carry Me Home." I got it at Amazon.com when I became a Third Day fanatic last January & HAD to have ALL their albums. I was also able to get the "WYA bonus CD", "Alien CD single", & most recently "Southern Tracks" from Amazon.com.

I have yet to acquire "Contagious" or "Long Time Forgotten" to complete my collection. I think the songs on Gray Dot are the same as on Bus, only in a different order, so I figure I don't really need that one! But, if I came across one, & it was reasonable, I'd buy it.:P

My favorite song is probably King of Glory. I have it as my power song on my iPod when I go running. I would have said Thief but I can't put it on my ipod cuz it just brings me to my knees. I just saw the version of "Call My Name" on Air 1 and was totally blown away by the song once again. I wish that they would record this version of it. Mac is awesome on it and I love the acoustics on it. He truly shines on this version. I think it was more powerful done this way.

My favorite Third Day song is King of Glory. This song is very special to me. It helped through an accident that I was in on November 4, 2000. I heard it live three times now, it gets me every time I hear it. It is a very powerful song. I had the honor to tell Mac and Mark that story when I met them at the Great Gomer Gathering three years ago. Third Day's ministry has blessed me in many ways. I love you guys, you are in my prayers. My favorites change too much to say. I have a new favorite every week. My favorite at the moment, though, is 'Born Again'! Last week it was 'Slow Down' and for a long while before that it was 'Revelation'. When Mac asked me what my favorite on the new album was.. at that time it was 'Take It All'! I agree with you - it's interesting that we all have different songs that we love for various reasons. I'm pretty sure no one will object to anything you all play since Third Day in concert is an amazing experience!

I honestly can't pick A favorite Third Day song. It would be much easier for me to pick out the rare few tracks that I DON'T care for as much that I always tend to skip over when I'm playing back the CDs. Then take the easy way out and say I love the rest. :D

Funny you should mention that one, given that that IS one of the tracks that tends to get skipped when I'm listening to the CDs. It does play out fine in a live show, although if it was never included in a set list again, I'd not miss it. But even though it's fine seeing/hearing it live, even when playing back live recordings like from Wired, or the Live CDs, I still tend to skip it.

Definitely in the "don't care for it much" camp. It's not that it's a BAD song. It just doesn't make the heart sing or the spirit soar like most of the other 3D songs do for me. :)

I didn't care for ROCKSTAR the first time I heard it, but when my friend gave me Tai's "explanation" for it that he did for his kids, I decided I do like the song. I'd guess that it all has to do with whether a particular song has meaning for the individual.

For me, right now, my favorite Third Day song is "San Angelo", "In between the start and end, I find myself once again questioning this place, calling out Your Name". Calling on the Name of Jesus does seem to be a theme of many Third Day Songs, even if it isn't EXACTLY stated that way, San Angelo.

It is weird, my favorite Third Day song always changes. For example: About a month ago my favorite Third Day song was Revelation (Live), then it changed to The Sun Is Shining and this week it changed to Blind.

It is weird, my favorite Third Day song always changes. For example: About a month ago my favorite Third Day song was Revelation (Live), then it changed to The Sun Is Shining and this week it changed to Blind.
