As a guitar player I love looking at pictures of great guitars so I thought it would be cool to start a thread displaying pictures of great guitars you either own or have seen.
I will start it with a pic of my church worship leader's guitar that he will be unveiling this week.

Here she is, 2001 Godin LGX 2 Voice with a figured maple top and transblue finish.
The cabinet set into the wall has a glass door and was built by me because that guitar is too pretty to be locked away in a case. Plus it makes yanking it down for a quick fix that much easier.

i like the blueridge product a lot. saga is splitting them off into their own company, so prices will likely go up soon...... a friend bought a gospel not long ago, and he sings it's praises constantly.
i'm planning to pick up a bg-140 in the next couple of months......
http://www.sagamusic.com/catalog/details.asp?ProductID=BG-140
they are giving gibson and martin a scare, with far lower pricing, and good quality instruments....

Yes indeed. The quality of the woods are impeccable. The lower pricing is the "made in China" export.
But they play like a dream and the neck isn't as wide as my Larrivee so my little hands can reach across better.
I am so excited. It's my early birthday present!

Hi! Loraine from the Sunny Okanagan.
New to this forum stuff, please bear with me.
thot i'd check out to see what all guitars you guys all have..cool, some neat guitars... i actually own 5 guitars, myself..
ps. am not a guy.. fall into the gal category...;)
Anyways... i have a winston guitar... sorry no picture yet..
Anyone ever seen or heard of them? they were made sometime in the late '60s, by a japanese company (Teisco mij).
I've never seen another one like this one..
It's banjo-shaped, bright red, with a whammybar? hollow body, with a cutout, and of course its electric...
just curious...
Found a winston mandoliin on ebay.. but been having problems finding anything on the guitars.. dont know that there were a whole lot of them made, either....
Lets see, what do i have at home... I have a fender, cortez, anjo, some noname electric and of course my winston...
Not a snazzy jazzy player...more of a lazy player... i play well enuf to accompany myself, or friends, or with worship team...

Coil tap is better than nothing, but having gone that route before, I can now say that it just isn't the same.
E. Blues Gomer

considering most humbuckers don't use their normal single coil formulas it usually lacks, but rio uses their normal single coil formula for their humbuckers as well. so it's so you can get that traditional single coil sound.

Actually the prices are very comparable to a Fender or Gibson... My Ranger is a higher end model (Ranger Exotic Top) with a custom neck w/ Flamey maple and I got mine for 1800 w/tax and There are Fender's in that range as well... I have an avalon on the way and it's in the price range of some of the Gibby's as well. but the quality surpasses both.
The Ranger is based off the old Fender PBass' and it's a mix between the Keith Richards Tele and a Strat. Tele pickup in Bridge. Geniune TX Neck Pickup and a tall boy in the neck

The Robin is a far superior guitar hands down.... At least for me. The neck is a custom carve my local dealer did while he was in TX at the one reunion... His hands are roughly the same size as mine if not a little smaller, This guitar definately not for the shred heads.... The neck profile is similar to putting your hand around your wrist.... It's huge but comfy. Pickups are like the Gibson 57 PAF's on Steroids. Very ballsy when cranked but roll back and you got good crisp cleans.
Quality
You're talking about producing a few guitars a day verses a few thousand an hour (I'll put it this way the serial number on this guitar is 070195, my others are 140 and 145 of the respective year (first 2 digits being the year) Robin only makes no more than 1000 a year, that's the way it's always been.
The time a real person spends on a single guitar at robin shows. They do use a cnc machine to do rough cuts but everything else is all done by hand. I have never played a Robin I didn't like, Gibsons, Fenders, Epiphones, even PRS I find it hard to fall in love with every single one. . I'm always an advocate for the little guys.... Small guitar companies, Small guitar stores, whatever...
I have my fair share of Fender, and Epiphones and there's a few gibsons i wouldn't mind having if I found the right one, but the guitars I play the most are my Robins and my Hamer Jr.
Gibson's quality is hit or miss unless you go custom, where as each robin is technically a custom order anyway for around the same price as a base USA Fender or Gibson.
Pricing... I think pricing it's a better value. If you are going by retail pricing this Gibson is about 1k more

for the most part you're paying for the brand name.

link to photos when I was at Houston visiting robin... You'll see the slab that was supposed to be my guitar... There was an error so they upgraded my top.
