I've always been a big fan of acoustical sets, and have thoroughly enjoyed the acoustic set the guys have been doing on this tour. Just thought I'd field this question to the masses . . . how many would be interested in a fully acoustic album by Third Day?

I'd ADORE it if they did it, and would get really excited and quite possibly scream, but if they didn't do it I wouldn't be crying into my pillow.
What I would love to hear is more of a Time, rootsy album with some acoustic songs in there, like Nothing But the Blood. If 3D recorded Nothing But the Blood I would cry.

I dunno. I would like it I'm sure. Not the idea that appeals to me the most, but I'm sure it would be awesome.

yah, same here. I LOVE that feel that Time has.

I gotta support the hubby on this one. That is always my favorite part of the show. The thoughts of it kindof remind me of that famous Elvis concert. He is sitting in the round with his black jumpsuit and a couple of guys. It is very cool, impromptu and personal. That is what I want. Kindof an unplugged thing.

I'm all over this one. The acoustic stuff they have done has been excellent. We yesly need a recording of Nothing But the Blood. Still Listening was great acoustic.

Bring it on! ....and what Sarah said, with that awesome Time (timeless) flavour.

I don't know if I'd want a whole album acoustic--after all you'd miss out on a lot of the cool electric stuff. But like I said, I would like a rootsy album, very earthy. I like albums where the music just feels like it's been ripped up out of the ground...Time has grown on me so much the older I get. Like Sharon said it is so timeless...that's the ironic thing.
So fully acoustic? I'd buy it but I'd like it more if it was rootsy, more with some bluegrass twang...I want to hear at least one Third Day song with a banjo on it.:p
And of course, Nothing But the Blood...
(I feel stupid posting twice but I thought about it more overnight so c'est la vie...)
This would be such an awesome idea. I'm a huge fan of acoustic and I'm sure I would preorder even before they recorded it. :D

Agreed.
I have already mixed my own set of acoustic tracks as well as my cranking loud driving set with live Gomers in the background.
Offerings: Unplugged!

Oh yeah, I forgot to cast my vote for that. That may need to go on the much requested Hymn album.

I love the idea. It needs to have a picture of the acoustic set (especially David's drums) on the cover.
I would love to hear new, original p&w songs.

Oh yeah, then they could do an unplugged concert tour and it would be really a lot cheaper for them to come to Thailand if they didn't have to lug all their gear and they could stay at our place, or a hotel, lots of hotels in Chiang Mai and we could organise all the churches in the city to come along and fill Kad Suan Kaew theatre and my friends could organise the show in Bangkok as they know all the church people down there and it would be wonderfulllllllllllllllll lllllllllllllllllll :) :)

Not sure, let me cook on that idea for a minute. Of course, I've said it before and I'll say it again: If Third Day put out a polka record, I'd buy it, and so would you, so don't kid yourself.

They could do like the Foo Fighters and release a double disc, one with rock songs and the other with acoustic songs.

I am a young jaded Elvis fan dear Tony! He and I shared the same world for like 11 months before he died and I grew up in his town so I have heard Elvis Elvis Elvis my whole life! I will declare I don't know my stuff. Tis sad but true. I did get to drive his band one time though! :D
Back to my Dear Husbands' discussion on the acoustic album, maybe one day it will happen! :)

It would make a really neat Offerings type album, for sure. I love the rocking stuff, but I really like the bluesy stuff as well.
