For those special occasions, there's www.dictionary.com. :p Hawaiian is difficult.

Mind you there are many people who spell my son's name as Micheal instead of Michael. They've got to be kidding. :rolleyes:

When I was in primary school I had a friend called Michael. Every time someone asked his name he would say "Michael with an AE'. I spent years thinking that his name was spelled differently to the normal way. From my experience that is the normal/usual way to spell 'Michael'.

I am off to a burglary now, someone has just woke to discover that they have had their house broken into...:(

DUDE!!!!!!!!!! I've got a funny story. On a youth trip, we got bored and this guy started fixing two of the guys hair like that. Then we went to eat supper, and this group of teens were scared of us cause they were from an island (I can't remember the name) and one had a lot of spikes in his hair and eyeliner and looked kinda........evil? We told them we were just bored, and they weren't scared anymore!!! YAY!! I wish I could post a pic, but I'd get in trouble :(

Actually, I picked up the hat in Australia (brand name: The Swagman), and it just seemed that I needed hair to go with it. I've always liked the "Back O' Bourke" look. Without the hat I get too many "Are you trying out for Jesus in an upcoming Easter play?" comments. The last person to say that I finally had a come back: "If I can't act like Jesus all time, the least I can do is look like Him all the time!" ;)

ps. Akubra-style hats just plain rock! They are bar-none the coolest and most practical hats in the world. I'm sorry to all my American friends, but Americans do not know how to make hats (even in Texas!), that look good on the average bloke/joe (just my not-so-humble opinion). I looked high and low, and the ones in the USA are just too darn big and "cowboy" for me. I'm not a bull rider, so the Akubra-style (mine isn't "genuine Akubra" in the sense that it isn't actual crushed rabbit fur/felt, but rather waxed-cowhide) are the way to go. They go well both in town or out in the bush. Heck, I even wear mine to church (but take it off upon entering the door, of course!)

Yes, I love my "akubra" too. It's not the real brand, but it's light tan, suede, and has a scarf tied around the brim and it's gorgeous. For years, sun hats were often big, and I would have looked like I was wearing a large saucer on my head, if I'd bought one. :rolleyes: The akubra does the job, and looks and feels great. Glad you've discovered them. I thought the Texans would have a great hat - yee ha!

Nice to meet y'all! Here's one of me and my grandbaby from (late) last fall. Just a couple days ago I was asking her if her (Christian) daycare provider teaches her any bible verses such as "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son..." and she interrupts with "Grandma, that's John 3:16 !

reclusive person that I am, I only have three pictures of me - one is my South Park character avatar, one is my current ID card pic' and the far right hand side one is me when I had been working for two years and my hair had not disappeared due to the stress lol.

"maui sista" is for all practical purposes 6 feet tall. She says 5' 11 and a half inches, but we all know what that means... ;)

The other is 5' 9".

At 6' 3", I'm nearly the shortest in my family. I have a brother around my same height (6' 3" but much broader and stockier), another who is 6' 6", and another who is 6' 9".

I love them all so much,

To be as authentic as possible I would probably have to cut my hair a lot shorter, grow a bushier beard with no definition between my side locks and beard, and wear a linen tunic and a tallit with fringe, as you said. I would also have to be like 5 foot 3 (rather than 6 foot 3, which was considered very tall then, and Jesus didn't stand out in a crowd), and a little more Middle-Eastern looking (more chiseled facial structure) with probably a little darker complexion.

But hey... I'll bet Jesus had brown eyes, too... ;)

Yeah, I'm pretty excited about it.
I know it's going to be an amazing day, but to be honest, I'll be glad when it's over with. Because we are both so stressed out and tired. Our honeymoon is going to be at a ski resort in Colorado. I think when we get there, we are just gonna plop down on the bed and sleep for about the first 2 days. lol It'll be the first time in a while when we could just rest and not have a million things we have to get done.

But it's been a fun ride in spite of the pressure and stress. :)
