Yes, but the way they meant it was that there is no hope for anyone they don't deem 'worthy' of forgiveness. It wasn't a simple statement of sound doctrine, based in scripture, it was just a scriptural reference used for hatred and self-righteousness.

Anyway, these have been posted even more recently and all I can say is, WOW, way over the top. Those people think they show GOD's love but in fact are showing Satan's rage..geesh. I hope they get it right before too long.

We've had several threads, and lots of posts about this church before. They're wrong, and don't represent Christ. End of story, and nothing to discuss.

However, I think the film clip you posted doesn't make them look bad as much as the newsperson who interviewed her.

Matt, I hope the above post isn't taken to mean that I was being negative about you creating this thread. I can certainly see where I made it sound that way, and I apologize. Hopefully, the last line made it clear that I am certainly up for talking about Phelps. In fact, long before he had become infamous, or before we started having discussions about him here, I wrote this (http://www.middletree.net/hs.asp), which mentions the sickening feeling I got in my stomach when I saw his actions at the Matthew Shepherd funeral.

What's sad is that he isn't just any jerk; he is professing to represent Jesus, and if even one percent of unbelievers who witness his tactics define him as such, then that is a tragedy.

I read the WBC meaning of the word fag - I always thought it came from another source... in New Zealand we have a saying "I can't be fagged" which means can't be bothered.... it comes from England and the old boys' private schools where the senior boys got the younger boys to be their own private 'slaves' - cleaned their boots, kept their rooms clean and probably some of them would have been sexually abused also - definitely physically and mentally - all part of growing up to be a man of the upper classes in jolly old England.... these young boys were called 'fags' because part of their job was to carry the faggots to make the fires of their masters.... so the saying "I can't be fagged" came into being!!!!!

I think it's really gross that these guys call homosexuals fags - I think it's horrible how they have the pictures of two of these people with flames around them and awful stuff written about them - sadly those two are very likely in Hell right now but to be so nasty about it - yuck!!!

There's a picture on their newspaper of a demon with an icky tongue poking out of his mouth - well I think they sound like he would sound - very appropriate graphic!!! Scarey people! :eek: :eek:

I watched the first video of this thread...wasn't impressed with either of the "ladies".

Sounds to me like both lack love, temperance, meekness, longsuffering and the list goes on...

Both of these women need to go back and read the scriptures and learn how to act maturely when discussing heated topics...and the fact that the "lady" called the interviewer a bimbo....well enough said.

Yelling and answers like really, and oh yeah made no points for the interviewer as well....just another "cat" fight to boost ratings...

God help us...wouldn't it be nice if we could actually get some news reported without ignorance showing it's ugly face.

Protesting funerals is for those who really do not have anything else better to do....like ministering to the needs of others....food and clothing..

How about visiting the sick and widows and nursing homes...Jesus did rebuke but he came as a servant and met needs too! Jesus also rebuked in a way not to come out looking like an idiot.

There is so much to do for the Lord...

I pray that these families do not think that all Christians are fruit loops after having to deal with this type of falacy group. God have mercy and may His truth prevail.

theres a great video out there which is a clip from Hannity and Colmes with one of freddys daughters, she looks possessed its scary, so Hannity's doing his usual bit on the nut and Colmes jumped in and she said why dont you listen to God or something to that affect and He's like I dont answer to you I answer to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, I was shocked haha....but still these people hurt others out there but they are not to be taken serious, its a church of about 100 people, mostly incestual relatives, who are just a bunch of fear and hate mongering creeps, they claim the war and the dead soldiers was due to the fact america accepts homosexuality, last I checked we dont, and just because we arent sectioning them off into colonies and burning those colonies as these sick people would like us to do doesnt mean we accept their lifestyle, groups like these scare me and make me question all the freedom our founding fathers wrote into the constitution sometimes lol
