In the next 3 months, I'll get approximately 300 of these. The band I'm listening to right now is called Wakeup Sleeper from Philly. The song I just listened to started slow but ended well.

"The Friendly Beasts" by Sufjan Stevens. I bought the Songs For Christmas album this past Saturday. It contains all 5 of the Christmas albums that have been released by Sufjan since 2001. I love the entire collection, but this song is amazing! There is a simple song, but at the same time it is so complex. It's in 6/8 time, and there is a glockenspiel part (played by Sufjan) in the middle of the song that seems to be in a completely different time signature. It's like it's on the upbeat of the cut time. It's amazing! And to beat it all, The Friendly Beasts is a 12th Century Traditional French Carol.

This album comes with a songbook, and the chords are added in the booklet.

It's my opinion that Sufjan Stevens is a musical genius, and he's going to change the way people listen to music. In 15 years, every young musician will call him an very big influence the same way that musicians today call the Beatles or Bob Dylan a big influence.

Unfortunately, now all I'm listening to is silence, I just started reel 13 of this job I've been doing today, and about 30 seconds into the reel, the clackety clack that has been grinding into my head all day just stopped. :eek: If I hold the button down, it starts clackety clacking like there's nothing wrong, but as soon as I let it up, it stops. :confused: Most perplexing. Maybe a belt broke or something. But the two that I know how to replace look fine, so it sounds like this is a job for Super Boss to take a look at, when he comes in tomorrow, apparently something NEW went kablooie in there this time.

Meanwhile, enjoying some BLESSED SILENCE for my last half hour of work! WOOT! :D

Bob fixed the broken switch on the 8mm film projector yesterday, so once again, I'm listening to the clackety-clack of film going through the machine.

Got U2's 11 OClock Tick Tock going through my head at the moment though, was listening to a Dublin live bootleg from 1980 in the car on the way in to work today. Man, Bono could ALMOST sing back then, couldn't he? ;)

Anyway. I'm listening to my fan and the crickets chirping. No one is at work because of the snow storm. :P
