Yeah, they are also Re-releasing The Omen tomorrow.
That was a darn scary movie about the devils child being born etc etc. Very disturbing....

I think the whole thing would make more sense if it were literally 6/6/6, not 6/6/2006. It's all a matter of date writing convention and the Gregorian calendar. I wonder when the Mayan "end of the world" calendar reaches 6/6/6...
Edited: not that the thing would actually make sense if it were 6 A.D.

It's not a re-release it's a re-make and it looks pretty creepy although the original was very creepy.

On the way into work today, I was switching radio stations, and Clint Brown (Yes Christian musicisan whom you may or may not like) said something that kind of stuck on...
This is the day that the Lord has made!
No matter what, remember that...

I thought this pericope was fitting for this thread, enjoy.
I John 4:1-6
Test the Spirits
4 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but utest the spirits to see whether they are from God, for vmany false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3 and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already. 4 Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 5 They are from the world; therefore they speak from the world, and the world listens to them. 6 We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us; whoever is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of error.
The Holy Bible : English standard version. 2001 (1 Jn 4:1-6). Wheaton: Standard Bible Society.
Knowing that Christ lives in us is of great comfort and renders trivial any spirit of evil on ANY day of the year.

My best friend's 18th birthday is 6/6/06.
Oooooh. And 18 is six times three. Your friend must be double-devil!!!!! ;)
What about all the mothers doing c-sections and other stuff just to make sure that their kid wasn't born today? I think it would be funny. The kid would prolly get teased a lot in school, but it could make for a lot of fun with apocalypse now theorists.
"Oh, you believe the signs are all here, huh? You know the Lord is coming back any day now, huh? My kid was born on 6-6-06....whattya have to say now?"
Hehe.....keep a lot of door-to-door preachers away ;)

Young lady, I saw that movie in 1980...the original....IT was darn scary...
I think it has been said to be the top 10 scariest ever......The Exorsist being #1...
This remake looks pretty wild too....but I think I'll skip it...
Now, there's a new M. Night Shymalan movie coming out in July. It's called Lady in the Water. THAT, I will be right there for. M. Night is such a genius...
M. Night wrote, directed and produced, Sixth Sense, Signs and The Village.

I would not say that the movies are scary, but they are definetly intense. I just have to think of the third movie where the adult antichrist is talking towards a cross that represented Christ for him. It is actually just a monologue without any scary special effects or so, but there is a vibe to it that really gets under my skin.

Where can I get Praying with Anger?
You guys know I have written a rock opera...Voice in the Light. Well, my guitar player is in a band....fairly well known in Prog-rock/metal circles, and his bassist/friend/writing partner is an engineering wizard. He is M. Nights right hand man at his studio near Philly.
I would drag my body through broken glass to have lunch with M. Night. What a lucky dude!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't wait for his new one....July I hope.........

This is the day that the Lord has made!
That's what I told my kids. I say, "This is the month the Lord has made" every October.:)
On the way to school today, my son and I saw a kid wearing an "I love Jesus, Jesus loves me" t-shirt. I guess he was ready for the day. My son wanted to make a shirt that said Jesus loves you, but I'm not a fan of reducing the Son of God to a t-shirt, so we compromised. He put the NO symbol over the numbers 666, then on the back it said "be unwarned." I thought it was pretty funny. He told me that he got punched a lot from kids who like Satan. I asked him what he said when he was punched, and he said that he told them that he loves Jesus. Needless to say, he came home with the shirt off. I guess he has a limit to how many punches he's going to take in a day.
On my way home from work today, I passed a high school that was swarming with police. I wonder if that had anything to do with "the day."

Cool, I am actually pursuing a career in writing and just yesterday did my 1st session in screenwriting from a college professor that is tutoring me. THAT is my ultimate goal, seeing some of my movies made. I have 4 scripts done and ideas written for 4 others.
I'm a huge fan of great Psych-thrillers....I am so critical of them!!!
I'll check into it, what about his other obscure, unknown stuff?

I've only written 14 pages of a teen/comedy/romance/superhero flick called Comic Book Kid.
But I have ideas for-
Sit-Down Comic- bio inspired by my dad who was America's first sit-down comic
Lightning Strikes Twice- comedy romance
Homefires (working title) - comedy romance
The Road - family drama
M. Night's only other obscure flick is Wide Awake which I rented from Netflix.

At the risk of looking like I'm talking to myself, I just found out that the swarming of police at the local high school was because of gang violence. Someone was killed.:( I drive by that school twice a day. Right now there are helicopters over the area around my house. Who knows why.:( My husband says it's crazy out there. (should say extra crazy)

I looked up 'end of the world in the Mayan calender...
In the mythology of the Aztecs, the first age of mankind ended with the animals devouring humans. The second age was finished by wind, the third by fire, and the fourth by water. The present fifth epoch is called Nahui-Olin (Sun of Earthquake), which began in 3113 BC and will end on December 24, 2011. It will be the last destruction of human existence on Earth. The date coincides closely with that determined by the brothers McKenna in The Invisible Landscape as “the end of history” indicated by their computer analysis of the ancient Chinese oracle-calendar, the I Ching.
The Mayan calendar is divided into Seven Ages of Man. The fourth epoch ended in August 1987. The Mayan calendar comes to an end on Sunday, December 23, 2012.
