now, that dosn't mean that you hate or dislike the song, just out of all of em', which one do you like the least?
i'd pick 'Rockstar' cause it's like Mac's putting himself down. he's saying that he dosn't have what it takes, which all of us know HE DOES. :D idk, mayb im just thinkin 2 much in2 it, but anyway, what's your least fav?

I'd have to say "Saved" from Offerings. Good song, it just doesn't do it for me.

I get the feeling Mac is saying that he just doesn't have the wherewithal to put forth the effort required to be a rockstar.

I'm kinda over "Sing a Song" but mostly because our church's worship band played it excessively. And played it badly, I might add. ;)

probably "I deserve". That song isn't their best one....but it's cool live I guess.

What? NO way. Out of ALL their songs, I DESERVE? is your least favorite? Out of ALL of them? I mean, there were some in the beginning that are not as good as I Deserve?. I Deserve? is the Best. Song. Ever. Or even if you don't love it, I can't see how it's your LEAST favorite! *fangirl* OMG I just canNOT believe it. *fangirl*
(In case you need to re-think that, here's a list of all the Third Day songs on the major albums (http://www.thirddayfans.net/music/songs.htm), all except for Contagious and LTF)

Ok, so I really don't like hearing "You Are So Good To Me" live, even though I don't mind it on the album and I LOVE Waterdeep's version.

But I have to go with Corrine and say "Saved". I skip it nearly every time I go on. I think it's Tabitha Fair's voice that I don't really favor.;)

I can't believe your least fav is "YOU MAKE ME MAD"! I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that song (and especially Brad's guitar break)!!! :D

Don't quote me, but I think I heard somewhere on these boards, that the song is about how music can make you feel.

I also like SAVED, but wish it did NOT have the female vocals in the background.

As for my least fav.....ummm.....um....do I have one? I don't know, I guess I would have to pick SING A SONG, or YOU ARE SO GOOD TO ME. They are both good songs, but I have "over-heard" them!;)

It's a toss up between (in no particular order) Saved, Billy Brown, Have Mercy, and It's About Time. There may be one or two more, but just off the top of my head, those are the ones that tend to be given the boot in favor of the next song on the CDR while I'm driving. :)

we're not critizizing them, and thats definitly not the way i intended the thread to be taken as. we're just simply disscusing the songs by 3D that are our least favorite, and least favorite dosn't mean you hate or dislike it. for example, if i gave you the choice of apples, bananas, or grapes, and your favorite fruit is grapes, second fav is apples, and third fav is bananas, that dosn't mean your crittizizing banana's, you still like them, just not AS much as grapes and apples, get what i'm sayin?

Have Mercy and Come Together. I find Come Together's music a little too "poppy" and the lyrics a little to hokey. I just don't like Have Mercy.

Saved is great on so many levels. They really nailed that cover. You listen to it and go "huh, that sounds like Third Day covering a Bob Dylan song"...which it is. You can't ask for more.

Creed? Seriously? Who said Creed? It's the ancient Apostle's Creed set to music and lays out what it really IS all about, ya know?

PS Billy Brown is one of my favorites on Wire... just becuase you don't understand a song doesn't mean you can't like it :)

What is amazing to me is reading all of these opinions. I know people who love the songs Have Mercy and Come Together. Everybody has their own favorite 3D album, favorite song, etc.... and I think we could find at least one person for every song where they think that song is their favorite. So I really don't think you could make the claim that any of the music is "bad" music.

Come on people! How could you choose songs such as Rockstar, Sing A Song, Believe, Creed, Billy Brown, Saved, Have Mercy, and Come Together as your least favorite? Third Day is a ROCK band. Most all of those song are rock. Rockstar? That's what it is(ROCK). Sing A Song? Brad's awsome solo! Creed.......Another awsome solo( by Brad of course). I just don't see how some of you people "like" Third Day(a ROCK band), but don't like their ROCK songs!?!?! It may not be a typical rock song, but it's musically and lyrically a good one... it's a shame the production quality on Conspiracy No. 5 wasn't as good as their more recent albums - the songs on it are incredible.

I don't think people here are saying they dislike these songs, just that they don't like them as much as some others Third Day has released. While like Debbie I'm not a huge fan of threads that pick a "least favorite" anything, I don't think the intent is harsh. Everyone has different tastes - if people don't have the same least favorite songs as you, don't worry about it; doesn't make it any less valid for you to like the songs :)

Saved - hit skip every time

Come Together - boring song that doesn't go anywhere

Keep On Shining - sounds like the theme from a tv show like 'friends' or something.

rockstar and billy brown aren't my favourites either, but at least they have lots of guitar and are more uptempo.

my favourites are most of the songs on Wire and songs like "You're everywhere", "Alien", "Never Bow (or is it back) Down", "Rise Up", "Show Me Your Glory" and "I Can Feel It".

Saved - hit skip every time

Come Together - boring song that doesn't go anywhere

Keep On Shining - sounds like the theme from a tv show like 'friends' or something.

rockstar and billy brown aren't my favourites either, but at least they have lots of guitar and are more uptempo.

my favourites are most of the songs on Wire and songs like "You're everywhere", "Alien", "Never Bow (or is it back) Down", "Rise Up", "Show Me Your Glory" and "I Can Feel It".

how can you not like come together, musically i can see but as far as lyrics go it makes me so happy to hear the words "cause i know that there will come a day when the lord will call his own away to a place that he has made for all of us but until the end of his return there's a leson that we've got to learn we are brothers we are sisters we are one" it makes me wait in anticipation for my god's return.

You should hear Come Together live. Mac tells everyone in the audience to hold hands for the part - we are brothers and we're sisters, we are one. It's a great moment! These are the correct lyrics:

I know that there will come a day
When the Lord will call His own away
To a place that He has made for all of us
But until the day of His return
There's a lesson that we've got to learn
We are brothers and we're sisters
We are one

I loved when TD did Come Together live, that was so much fun!
Getting back on track, my least favorite TD song would have to be Who I Am from Conspiracy #5. For some reason I just can't get into it.

My granddaddy used to say that if everybody liked the same thing, there would'nt be enough to go around. Seems like everybody's don't like lists are the very ones I repeatrepeatrepeat. And I STILL don't know why I don't like Thief. Guess I should be sitting in the shrink's office right next to the people who don't like Saved.

the thing about SAVED is that it starts just way to strong... it slaps you in the face specially coming right after Agnus Dei.. so yeah after sharing a tear i don't feel like jumping and clapping and hitting my shoes..!!! :D

And yes Jabob on page 3 got it totally right... after listenin to rockstar many times i realized that I am the one who wants to be a rockstar.. be like third day, and sometimes you feel like your life doesn't have big meaning if you don't do something huge like 3d.. but when it says "NO I AIN'T GOT NOTHING, BUT TO YOU I'M SOMETHING, SOMETHING SO MUCH MORE" it's a nice reminder that we all can't be MacS.. but God loves me just as He loves him... maybe even a little more :D

but yeah saved is pretty much the one i skip,

That is a hard question but there is:

1 Alien
2 It's a Shame
3 I Can Feel It

 I can feel it:eek:

Well....we all are allowed to have our own opinions.;)
I got all Holy Spirit goose bumpy when listening to that song.

Somedays I love Rockstar, somedays not as much....Elijah loves it.
Some days I skip over Saved, others I play it 3 times in a row.

I find I dont listen to Hows Your Head all that much and Its a Shame, at times is too close to home for me...all the same it is a very good song.

Cant say I have any least favourites. Different moods - or as my hubby says, different personality - depends on what I am favouring.;) Did that make sense?
Its 1:20 am here....WHAT AM I DOING UP!?! :o
Night Y'all.:D

Least fave? Hmmmmmm.....

I'm not too keen on Alien. I would have said Thief until I heard the CV1 version. I can't say that I now love it but it's certainly growing on me :D
I can't say I skip over any songs, although Joel sometimes says a song is sad and can we change to a more lively one - there again he'd listen to Rockstar ALL the time!!

I think Rockstar would be my choice for least favorite. It's a cool song, but so many bands come out with so many "rockstar" songs that it just seemed like an attempt for Third Day to make into the mainstream. I also want to add that I miss the old Third Day. I really think there next album (after these greatest hits albums are through) should be a rockin' Southern Rock album. This new pop-rock Third Day sells a lot of albums, but I feel they've lost there roots. I love Third Day and I wish them continued blessings in whatever they decide to do next! (even if it is Offerings 4 or a "remix" album) ;)

I love The Everlasting. I actually 'scrapbooked' the words to that song.
I do agree that Its A Shame is a great song...but maybe the topic is a little hard to listen to. Ya know?
I dont think there is a 3D song I dont like.;) :P

Yeah, but... even Third Day can't always save a Bob Dylan song. ;)
Beautiful! :P

I can't believe some of you that don't like songs because you don't get what they are trying to say. Heck, when I was a kid, we couldn't even understand what they were singing, let alone figure out what it meant. Art is subjective. Put your own interpretation into it. What does the song say to you?

So it seems like the most unpopular songs are Rockstar ( ), Saved, and Billy Brown. I'm sure a few others were picked enough times to get them on this list. I hope Third Day won't read this and quit playing Rockstar live, because lots of us love it!

I am surprised that no one picked God of Wonders. I know some of you don't like it. Not that it's not a good song, but that it's so overplayed.

I guess I"ve never really thought much about the songs I don't like. I do sometimes skip the slower songs on the iPod.
ROCKSTAR is one of my all time faves. I love it on the CD and I especially love it live. I fell in love with the song BILLY BROWN from the teaser snippets we got when WIRE came out. Man! I love a crunchy guitar.

*I am not a huge fan of IT'S A SHAME. Beautiful song. Very moving. But honestly, it brings me down. Takes me places I don't care to revisit.

*God of Wonders doesn't pack quite the same punch live w/o Barkley's amazing BGVs.

Hey Mac IS a Rockstar so they can't quit playing that song!!!

I don't consider God of Wonders a Third Day song but yeah it's overplayed but everyone in the crowd knows it so "it will always be on the set list"....end of quote;)

Least favorite???? You are So Good to Me.....I think that would be it.

Saved. The only songs that I don't particularly like just happen to be ones they didn't write. I'm not saying that they couldn't write a song I wouldn't like, just that they haven't so far.

Mama -
If you listen to Bob Dylan's original version of "Saved" you will GREATLY appreciate the version on 'Offerings'.
(I checked it out just out of curiosity... how did Bob Dylan EVER get a record deal???)

You Are so Good to me, Sing a Song, and My Hope Is You. I've never been crazy about any of them. It used to be Communion, and even though I still don't really like it, I've come to appreciate the guitar work in it. I think the intro is one reason why I don't like it too much.

Billy Brown is people's least favorite song? Wow, that's one of my favorites. It sounds like a real rock song and it's catchy. Good southern rock...well kinda southern.

i'd pick 'Rockstar' cause it's like Mac's putting himself down. he's saying that he dosn't have what it takes, which all of us know HE DOES

I think you misunderstand the song.

It's about superstar singers who are Christians and who are such big role models yet they never share their faith, but it also details how hard it is to do that for a rock star. Maybe it's personal experience for Mac and the guys.

I concur. Actually, I think the theme of the whole Wire CD was about the perils of being famous, and the high expectations that go along with that.

I had heard an interview with Mark back in '04 after the album came out, and Mark said it was actually about a friend of theirs who was a Major League Baseball player. They never named who it was, though. Either way, baseball player or rockstar, the meaning of the song remains the same.

Probably 40 Days...
I like it okay, but compared to so many other super 3D songs that never even made it to the radio....
Although the Hotlanta Gomazzi version is a classic!

Forty Days is my favorite Third Day song. I have the lyrics hanging on my bulletin board here in my office at work. I often read them when I need a spiritual boost.

My least favorite song is probably Wire. It's a good song, but I find myself skipping past it the most when I have the cd in the player.
