I like to eat Bass fish too! In Eufaula, Alabama USA, where I live, there is a huge 10,000 acre bass fishing lake (Called Lake Eufaula), where many nationaly sponsored and televised fishing tournaments take place every year. We have about 2 or 3 tournaments per month durning fishing season, and we always have plenty of locals fishing in thier John Boats. We have even been labeled by one popular U.S. fishing magazine as "The Bass Capital Of The World!"

Personally, I dont like to fish, but my dad fishes all the time in our 1/2 acre fish pond in our backyard, which has very small fishes in it of assorted verieties. They're not big enough to eat, so he just catches them and throws them back!

By the way Cornelius, Congrats on your 500 posts!:) I saw the thread today, and I posted in it I think. I just surpassed 100 posts this afternoon!:cool: My join date was in 2004, but I went once to the boards to look around, but never really got into posting stuff untill about March of this year! Now I'm addicted to this board, and whenever I can get my mom off of her scrapbooking buliten board (To which she is equaly addicted!), I am always on the Third Day boards. The only reason I am posting so much today is that my mom is out of town, so she is not hogging the internet, and it is Sunday, so I am not busy with school, homework, etc.

This is an amazing part of the 23rd Psalm in that David is describing God's love and care.

While David was running for his life God provided for him in plain view of his enemies.
He says "My cup runneth over." Many have interpreted this to mean God's provision extends beyond our needs into our desires and possibly so.

But tonight Sailing Gomers consider this.

At the time of Davis's writing, the law in Israel said you must feed the passing stranger. The custom was that after the obligatory meal if you wanted your guest to travel on you politely signaled them to do so by refilling their wine cup only half full. If you enjoyed their company and wanted to invite them to stay the host would pour the last cup of wine to the point of over flowing. This was meant to say, "Friend, you may stay as long as you like."

God pours our cups to overflowing and says to us, "Child, you may stay with Me forever."

Yes, it looks and tastes like orange juice, and it is fortified with many vitamins and minerals, which gives us Gomer Pirates all the energy we need to raid other band's ships while we are on sea. When we are not on sea, we are taking a vacation by going to the nearest Third Day concert!!

David and Jonathan were the best of friends. Their friendship was closer than the friendship shared by a husband and wife.

Jonathan's dad felt threatened by David and tried for many years to find him and kill him. David and Jonathan were buds none-the-less. One day Jonathan's dad (Saul) was closing in to kill David and Jonathan warned David and together they swore an oath to always take care of each other's families should something happen to one of them. Jonathan knew someday David would be king over Israel.

Well sure enough, Saul was eventually defeated in battle and Jonathan was mortally wounded as well.

Years passed and when David had set up his reign as king he set about finding Jonathan's descendants. Mephibosheth was Jonathan's son and when he was a tiny boy the nanny that was carrying him fell down and from that day on Mephibosheth was crippled. They were fleeing from the Philistines and they fell... Mephibosheth was crippled from a FALL. II Sam 4:4

David found Mephibosheth and sent for him. Mephibosheth asked the king, "What is your servant, that you should show regard for a dead dog such as I?" II Sam. 9:8 You see, Mephibosheth felt worthless because he was crippled in both feet.

David had mercy on Mephibosheth and even let him live in his house, restored all of his grandfather's land, gave him servants to farm the land, and told him that he would always eat at the table of the king. II Sam 9:7

Sailing Gomers, We are all just like Mephibosheth, we (as the race of fallen men) are crippled in that same fall. We are worthless of ourselves alone. But God has redeemed us. He has made provision for us. He has given us worth. He has prepared a place for each of us. And although we are just His crippled children, He has reserved for us a place at the KING'S table forever.

Cornielius, here's some quick updates, then I have to go for real!
1. We have an enemy ship-which bares the words "The Funky Heathen Pirates Band" on its port and starbord sides-approaching us! Should we attack them, to get supplies and food, or should we try to form an alliance with them?
2. Pastor Bill has been missing from the ship for about a week now! We need to find him, and make sure he hasnt been taken hostage by another enemy ship, or been eaten by the sea monsters!
While I am gone, try to find a solution to both theese problems, and I will return on board tomorrow! I am off to go to church!

Every day, the Plank would have people walking on it, and the Plank would drop itself down, and let ther prisoner fall into the sea. But now, we Godly Gomers have taken over the ship, and we dont take anyone as prisoner, or throw anyone into the sea anymore, so the Plank is not moving unless we walk it around. It's joints (Namely its screws and bolts) have to have vigorous movement for our pet Plank to survive, so one of the crew members walks the Plank around the ship every day, for aobut 1 hour, to give it some exersise.

(It's kinda funny, but I actally feel like some people on the 3D Boards are my closest friends right now, cuz both of my very best friends in the real world have recently moved, so I am glad that I can find new friends, such as you, Cornelius, and The Bus 36 on the boards!)
Here's some quick updates:
1. Pastor BIll(bdfwinn) is still missing from the ship. I have PM'ed him, but not gotten a response yet.
2. Our main concern is our attack on our enemy's ship, belonging to "The Funky Heathen Pirates Band" Captian Cornelius has just PM'ed me and ordered us to start attacking and rading thier ship. He also told me that he will be leaving the ship, to go fishing with his family in Minnesota, and he wont be back untill the middle of June. He told me to take over as Captian while he is gone, so, as the new Captian of the HMS Gomer, I order all crew members aboard this vessel to ATTACK!!

But I will be gone from this Teusday untill June 7th, so in my absence, Hoonah will be the temporary Captian, because Pastor Bill already has so many responsibilites on board this ship! Well, life here aboard the HMS Gomer is very simple, yet fun! While we are on the sea, we find ships that belong to un-Godly bands, and we fight thier crew and take thier food and other goods that we can use on the HMS Gomer. We dont take any prisoners or hurt anyone, unless they hurt or kil one of our crew members, which hasnt happened yet. We are actually in a battle right now with the ship belonging to "The Funky Heathen Priates Band" and, while I have almost gotten them to the point of surrender, 2 reinforcement ships are coming toward the HMS Gomer, so we could really use the help of the Death Pearl's crew to fight theese evil pirates! We will split all the food and goods between our crews if we win, which, if your crew agrees to help the HMS Gomer in this battle, we will surely do!
Anyway, back to life on our humble ship of Gomers... While not on sea, we go to Third Day concerts, what else would Gomers do, huh? Our ship was built as a regular sea going ship, so we cant fly in the air like your spaceship Death Pearl does, but we have no need to fly, we have everything we need right here on earth!

BTW: Do you pronouce the name of your lovely spaceship as "Death" Pearl, or is it "Dearth" Pearl? You have spelled it both ways, so I am just wondering what the official spelling is! Also, is there a thread for your spaceship, or not? If so, what is the title of the Death Pearl's thread, and where on the boards is it located? - Drummer Dude, Temporary Captain of the HMS Gomer.

I am so glad our beloved Captian Cornelius is back, but we still have a problem: Our 1st Mate Pastor Bill is still missing from our ship. He came aboard for a few minutes to say hello to us all, but then he immediately left the ship, but that was over a week ago, so I will just assume that he doesnt find the pirate's life at sea enjoyable anymore, and he has deserted our ship for good. I kept PM'ing him, cuz I would see him on other threads on the Boards, so I PM'ed him to join us on the HMS Gomer, but he nver joined us, so me really thinks that he no longer wants to be on the sea with our crew. Maybe he gets seasick really easily, so that is why he left us. Whatever the reason he left, we will surrely miss him, aye?
