Man Convicted In Bush Assassination Plot

ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- Jurors in Alexandria have convicted a U.S. citizen of joining al-Qaida and plotting the assassination of President George W. Bush.
The jury rejected claims by 24-year-old Ahmed Omar Abu Ali that Saudi forces tortured him to extract a confession.
Abu Ali could be sentenced to life in prison on charges that include conspiracy to assassinate the president, conspiracy to hijack aircraft and providing support to al-Qaida.
